Excellent stepping stone
the work is enjoyable and have a very supporting team leader, its very challenging to do cold calling but it gets easier by time, i love building rapport with my clients but some are not easy to convince to take up a funeral cover, i have learnt to work with people and that when when selling policies to client make sure its a need that they want, even to put my self in a client s shoes to make sure they afford it.

An introduction to the financial services world.
A typical workday at my job would be go to the office call clients and do a policy update and review with them, make appointments with them. My relationship with my co-workers would be described as respectful and very warm. I was introduced to the world of financial services through insurance via Metropolitan. I learnt a lot because there assessment that I would do and those assessment introduced me to the many hats one can wear in the financial services. I also learnt how to deal with conflict in the work place and how to carry yourselves amongst different personalities. I enjoyed helping clients understand the financial product that they have taken and also being able to introduce the different financial products to people. Getting new clients is the hardest, due to the fact that it is very hard to not find someone who does not have a financial product from one of the FSP.

It's a very interesting environment to work at
Metropolitan its very well known ccompany. It's interesting company were u interact with different clients everyday that's what make it exciting. There's a basic and uncapped commission.

Excellent communication skills
I enjoy mostly to do presentations with organizations such as COSATU, that is my mostly marketing site. With my team we working more like a family. I have mostly learnt to do business with people in group scheme, that's what paying the most than individual clients. The challenge is where by your client did not pay the first payment due, or went to dispute the Dr order.

WORK OVERTIMES AND WORK UNDER PRESSURE TO REACH MY TARGETS.
I CAN WORK UNDER PRESSURE,WITH LONG HOURS AND OVER TIME.CAN WORK DURING HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS.THE COMPANY HAS A HUGE RANGE OF CLIENTS AND ATTRACT MORE CUSTOMERS PER DAY.

The work was not typical but challenging and I was enjoying to work with my co worker as my relationship with then was good and I learned to be patient with client and give client what she or he want a good customer service the most challenge is when u have to reach target because we working with target every month

Helps build communication skills
We sell insurance,different kinds of products,we work together,help each other when needed,it is important to communicate to avoid miscommunication. I enjoy helping people.the most challenging aspects about selling insurance is meeting very difficult clients

Good
I work as a advisor or sales person for metropolitan it was interesting course you work as you own your company needs hard working person, meeting people in different companies I have learn to how to communicate with people how to treat a customer. The good part i was doing so many things like front desk operating or customer service i was willing to get knowledge and experience. The sad part it's where sometimes you have to meet a target for the week, it will be hard but trying is the best. Nothing comes easy. I enjoyed the job course you can travel and get to know people.
Pros: To get experience and knowledge course I was looking forward to seeing myself as a business owner one day.
