A typical day at Mr Price is very busy. There is never a time when we are idle. It is very enjoyable but also challenging. We do have some difficult customers but learning how to deal with them is a bonus. I feel that i have learnt a lot from doing interacting with the different types of people. I have good relations with my co-workers. We enjoy each others company.

I learned alot about customer service
Team work is very important at Mr Price. Daily unpacking of stock, assisting customers at till points. Helping customers apply for accounts. Calling Mr Price customer careline regarding clients account. Managing of accounts assisting co- workers where its needed. Helping customers with assistance while pushing to make a daily target, on encouraging clients to buy the products. I have learned that a customer is always right. Interacting with a customer while they busy shopping eases them to buy more, cause it makes them comfortable in asking you what will suit them or for resent stock. My job was very challenging cause it gets very busy at times, so you had to attend as many customers in a day. There were days when we are short staffed but that never discourged us to make our daily target. And never let situations that a cured disturb your working attics.

Excellent learning
It was very to work there we treated as brothers and sisters we help each other.I have learn how to deal with customer complain to do security.I enjoy doing customer service to satisfy customers needs.you must aspect difficult customers

Being honest its a great first part in your working place
working at mr price for that 3yrs i learned a lot of things like knowing how to talk to customers being clean all the time counts to your first approach with the customer my relationship with my co-workers was so cool more especially when we secrifies for coming early before our working hours starts due to when we have a lot of work to be done the understanding and the love we had was so adorable i did enjoy when we all work hard and reaching our target as the shop is expecting the most challenging moment is where the manager shout at you front of the customers the most challenging aspect is were by the delivery cums in large number while you still had a lot on our stock room.

Working in several department
When I was hired at mr price I first worked in the stock room learn how to receive stock, how to pact it, how to deliver the stock according to their department, then I went to the cash desk where I leart how to put a float, to make a sale, deposit cash. Then I went to the floor where I learn customer service, mack down, promotions,marchandising. I worked different department its was a challenge but I get more skills and more knowledge,I learnt codes according to different stock. What I enjoy the most is team work and understanding to each other in order to achieve a certain goal

I gained so much experience in working with people.
They really take good care of employees. and the customers are always and taking care off. Their stock is always attractive, I felt great to work with them but the contract ended and I had to go and study.

Distance learning
Been in a current company is much enjoyable at such I'm really excelling in every job that my manager or supervision may convey and likely to know or learn more out there! I really enjoy working with my colleagues because they know how to make my day short at work by creating a strong team work. I've a lot like when have given a certain work and you dwell on that job and finishing it on time a lot of good stuff may come upon you.

Stay focus on the goal.
I am currently a store manager for Mr price. A very fast moving business with a high footcount. The store takes 35million a year and also have massive potential stockloss risk. So far we managed to keep our stocklosses down to less then acceptable level. This have granted us allot of incentives by simply just ensuring we make sales and reduce losses. I am a leader and lead by example. I also understand the heart of any stratergy is the customer and that the staff who directly deal with these customers have to be motivated and kept well informed of the "what and the why" of any new product or business venture. I enjoy being on the ground with the staff and reach our target together daily.

Excellent leaning curve
I find it fun working at Mr price. We incourage team work, we help one another and we always strive to achieve task outcomes by working collectively. I have leant that respect is the most important aspect in the organization to achieve goals of the company and that as workers you must always help each other (team work). Although we face difficult times sometimes like struggling to meet daily targets therefore have to work long hours but we always get the job done.
Pros: Growth opportunities are frozen
Cons: Working even on public holidays
