My work experience

I am working for my current employer for more than 5 years now and I can say my journey with the company has been quite amazing. I am now FAIS accredited and have RE and now I feel like I need to explore my talent and see what more I can do. If only I can be given an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and learn more things apart from Insurance.

Excellent learning curve

- punctual, dedicated, passionate, and enjoy working in a team - appreciation for hard-work and leadership skills. - Enhanced my skills as a Sales Agent for Forever Living Products -Always maintain a high impressive Net-Promoter-Score. - Due to my performance I've then been given the opportunity to be a floorwalker by transferring skills. - I enjoy soccer, reading, music, listening to motivational speakers and spending time with my family.

Very hectic and fast paced

Highly pressured environment where every minute counts and every rand spent is critical to maximize the return. Very strong on development and growing people. Very strong culture - People are generally good to work with

Old Mutual has been an excellent learning curve for me

Being a financial advisor hasn't been easy but it has been an excellent learning curve as I now know things I never knew before. I am really enjoying my work there. my typical day is from 8am t0 4pm, my co-workers are also very competitive and we work very well together, what I enjoy the most is the challenge that I get from my job, it keeps me on my toes. The most challenging aspect is having to reach target each month

build a relationship of trust very important

love doing marketing relationship with co workers was very open if i see one struggle i will do my best to help my team mate in any way i can. i have learn integrity and how to work in a team also learnt how to work with certain situations. i enjoyed working with clients and making sure they are happy when they leave from me. the challenging aspect was when i had to go out there because it was almost cut off just to search for that one client i still need to submit and it was stressful but at the end of the day i did reach my target not always but i manged to get myself were i want to be.

Pros: i loved the marketing part were we had to put up stand and also attend wellness days a great way to get leads
Cons: had my own hours just had to report to office in the mornings at 08:30 and then be out there and be back at 4 pm

I like new challenges or new learning curves

Over my years i have learnt to deal with all types of clients , i have come to know clients for example i would know when a client is a feeler or i know when to ask open ended or closed questions i only want to work for a reputable company and make it to the top

Working as Insurance Sales Consultant

Its good to in work in Insurance Industry, as you manage your own time, you can start the day anytime, depending on your preparation for appointments. I have an excellent relationship with my Clients and Colleagues. we continue studying all the time to be abreast with what is happening in the Markets. I have Marketing diploma, from IMM and Inseta NQF Level 5 credits (120) I have the most number of Clients in my team. I enjoy helping clients, making them reach their goals, it fulfills me. The most challenging part of our job is when the client cant afford anymore to continue with his or her premium, and has to cancel, all cancellations affect us financially.

Customer service was order of the day.

Customer service was order of the day. I loved that I could help customers on a daily basis. I learned from my mistakes, that made a mess and enter person and experienced person
