Learning Curve

It is very nice working or PetroSA. People grow and earn good salaries. I am leaving for growth. I enjoyed my time there. The company is owned by government so there is job stability. However, the management is bit inexprienced.

I create an open policy relationship with team

I try to have an open policy relationship with my Manager, Colleagues and in order to easily achieve project deadlines I will report the truth to them even if the truth is going to comprise. I give correct and accurate feedback and action plan with firm dates and deliverables. I hold my team accountable by delegating clear responsibilities and agree on commitment. I focus on developing a good relationship with key stakeholders. The challenging part of my work is working with dishonest people .I hold people accountable for their work by having clear instruction and expectations.

Pros: Its about growth and new challenges
Cons: Working with new people and start building new relationship

Excellent working curve and exposure to uncharted waters.

I arrange meeting to discuss mitigating factors to complete work within required time. Measure on the Gantt Chart the actual progress against planned work. Coaching and motivating all stakeholder for them to reach outcomes of the day. What i have learned that all people possess different challenges one has to listen and see end result how to meet the required target. First phase of project is most tricky as all people have different work ethic. What i like is when finally we know where we need to be to achieve as a team. To close a project and having completed milestones.

Pros: Opportunity to be promoted.
Cons: Long working hours.
