Learned a lot at Prasa,taught me patient tolerance and be able to work under pressure also in a team work environment.The day will start as early as 04:30 to assist passengers with information on the 1st and updating roots,ensure all tickets rolls and printers are available,the colleagues are friendly the only challenge was working in an unsafe environment

I have learnt a lot and I have grown exceptionally.
Very stressful environment. Challenging. But it has been worth it with regards to experience gained and the people you meet. You get to interact with all types of people, and each person is different to the next person. It has taught me to be independent and have made me realise that I am strong person.

Its an excellent learning place
Work load is demanding No support from manager Long hours without showing any appreciation to staff Customer service There is a employee assistance program I enjoy interacting with customers The most challenging aspect is the lack of resources

Gain a lot of Experiences
Although i have learnt a lot at PRASA what is lacking is career development , there is also lack of benefits i.e the company does not subsidise medical aid, there are no bonuses, pay progression system, housing and car allowance. I am currently looking for a company that offers some sort of benefits and have a greater room for growth.
Pros: Great learning experience due the bigger size of the organisation. The environment forces one to learn other areas of Railway transport management.
Cons: Lack of career development and benefits.

Maintenance of HV MV Substation
Maintenance of HV MV Substation , testing of Earth Spikes/earth mat and understanding schematic diagrams and fault finding on Schneider relays and AC/DC control circuit relays / monitors / timers. Talking out Work permits , Maintenance of Distribution Substation , XLPE cable jointing and terminatios , installations of Distribution boards and their fault finding , plugs and lights fault finding, Machinery maintenance and Crane maintenance , Maintenance and testing of high speed circuit breakers , calibration of DC high speed circuit breakers, Traction Rectifiers and Traction transformer maintenance
