Being a Tax Practioner as self employed
As an entrepreneur, I ve acquired variety of skill from project management, finance manager, technical abilities a. I have also acquired variety of skills such as planning, attention to details, negotiation and project management. I have to keep abreast of new developments in terms of the legilegislation and Acts as I have to give advise and prepare opinions.

Excellent learning curve
I like working with my ream, we respect and assist each other. I have learnt a lot about treating customers fairly over the years. The only issues that I have about the company that I work for is that they do not give us any financial rewards for the extra work that we do.. they claim to give us room for growth and development but it basically means more work responsibility for same salary

Standard work day with diverse people. Different departments with different needs path the way for multi skilled support. Generous wide scope of small business' supporting infrastructures that provides excellent knowledge to various needs.

Good relationship with staff, challenge to complete task with interference from non medical
Difficult to work in an environment where the people are constantly interfering in your tasks and seem to want to make you appear incompetent Cannot work where you are constantly verbally abused and insulted Like you don't make a difference Where once the company's need for you is over, then the abuse starts

Taxing work week with inhuman long hours, but exceptionally rewarding in other ways.
Farming for yourself has its rewards. You go to bed late and rise early. Hard work rewards you with healthy animals and a healthy crop at the end of a season. I have learned a lot. the most challenging of owning my farm was the attitudes of the laborers and the debilitating thefts that occurred.

Great International exposure and learning curve.
We would work together towards our goals and had wonderful support. I loved working with top management as they felt backed up by the Finance office or could call on me for any advice or assistance in budgets, expenses, procedures etc. Balancing subsystems made me appreciate programmers and they could do upgrades as I suggested changes. Finance Reviews made me feel important as my signature carries weight and a responsibility. Most challenging is working with countries in Africa that is slow on service delivery or finding resources.
Pros: Company benefits not seen on a payslip ( study help, Provident fund charges picked up by company, Medical aid after Retierement, Group Life Insurance high amounts, study help for your dependants in case of death, flexi work hours), Performance measures.

It is a great experience beeing in a smaller company but would love to have more to do.
It has been great working in a smaller factory that is low risk as it was experience in a different direction but unfortunately at times it can be very frustrating as it is an extremely small company and therefore it is very quiet at times. Staff is a great experience as they are a very friendly bunch and a small group so they are like a family. I loved the challenge of sorting out the company systems and picking up some of the hygiene standards in the factory. Unfortunately it has been very challenging for me as I felt that there was not much further that I could progress in the company and that it was at times so quiet. I am someone who loves challenges and loves to be busy all the time, I prefer hitting the ground running in stead of taking it slow. I perform best under pressure and feel that it makes me strive better.
Pros: A really nice boss and great staff.
Cons: Long working hours, no opportunity for growth.
