Opportunity to grow and put to the company an important role in safety from the experience I have
I have worked with sasol we don't compromise on safety-zero tolerance, and all the company values played a vital role in our work such as winning with people,integrity, teamwork, customer focus, etc. And also my,mentoring, teaching and facilitation skills -Also as part of the SHE department we use KUE-key undesirable events to monitor all our activities, action and behaviour -My recent ISO and internal passed course helped a lot in my career

Challenging
A typical work day consist of inspections on plant equipment and procedures. My relationship with my co workers is excellent, knowing they enjoy most of the time of day with me. I have learned that there is only one way...the safe way, no short cuts, follow the rules and regulations and all will be well, or rather should be. I enjoy most times of gratitude, where people see the value safety brings to the industry, saving lives. The most challenging aspects of the job is confrontations... Where the guilty party has to be corrected in whatever means due according to the law.

Arrive half hour earlier at work to priorities days tasks. See if there's any emergencies and urgent that needs attention, Contact the Foremans to discuss the days work that needs to executed. Confirm the previous days work that was executed and reschedule the work that was not done due to production lost, emergencies etc. Level the next 7 weeks work and follow up material for the next 4 weeks. Order material and contact buyers/suppliers. Attend meeting to discuss the days work and also the next days work. Contact services and make sure they are booked for the next 2 days work as per email arranged.

A great stepping stone into my career, my character has been developed.
My day to day duties involved attending meetings, be it production or safety meetings, as well as Potential Deviation Analysis, Risk assessment reviews and investigations to mention a few. It has been a challenging journey but I appreciate the hardships because they have strengthened me and my ambition has been inspired. I get along very well with my mentors and colleagues, I am glad they are always willing to assist me in all aspects of the work I ought to do. So I have learnt to interact, to present, to investigate incidents, audit pre task risk assessments. I must say that I enjoyed investigating incidents more in order to identify issues that create such incidents and the potential causes too.

Excellent learning curve
I like working for my current employer as a buyer, but I would love to get a permanent job. Working for my current company it's been an amazing journey I have learned a lot for the years I have been with them, groomed me to be a better person in terms of being exposed to the work environment.

Good career growth
Sasol is one of the best companies to ever produce gas to liquid petroleum and diesel products. It has also used byproducts to create other businesses and employment opportunities.

Still learning at unisa, I have achieved other certificates and
I have learn to be loyal to my company, and to work my way up by working hard, I also have learn to be patience with other co workers, I also learn to accommodate pressure from my employer and co workers. My relationship with my co workers is only work base relationship. I have learn to practice safety behavior all time, and to mitigate the risk for all workers and employer and in force safety also analys all activities by risk assessment.

CHEMIST
I started to work in 2002 up to date. my current responsibility is to: * write motivation to buy new laboratory instruments * revise and develop new methods * write new instrumental procedures * maintenance of instruments * calibrate and troubleshooting of the lab equipment *training of new analysts * solving the day to day instrumental and sample problems.
