Good areas of competencies acquired at sasol
I have developed the following skill set throughout my experience at Sasol in the past 3 years: Cost estimation, economic evaluation of studies and projects Asset management and volume protection a Research and development (Impact study and evaluation) Production and maintenance planning Project execution and commissioning support Process safety review Process simulation, modelling and equipment sizing Plant monitoring assessment, data analysis & optimisation The job also equipped me to be competent in my use of computers, particularly in the use of MS Windows packages, AFT Fathom Software, Aspen Software Package, Matlab and Python Software. Over and above the technical competencies I have acquired, the experience has also taught me the importance of ascertaining customer’s needs and providing clear and accurate information in response to those needs, and to work effectively in a team.

Willing to learn more about your Company,
For the past 10 years I have been working for Sasol LTD, and gained a lot of experience through a lot of different jobs that was given to me to do on a daily base. I enjoy working with people as I come from the SAPS and Fire Department.
Pros: My fiance is living in PTA and i would like to make a new change in my life.
Cons: I have 2 children so working hours is important to me, for picking them up from school and dropping them.

Excellent leaning curve

A review of my current work process at Sasol
Sasol (Pty) Ltd is quite significant in the context of South African Economy . With over 30000 employees in the company one is surely bound to encounter dynamics of typical cooperate environment. My days start with quick chat with my line manager before hosting an informal coffee discussion with my work colleagues on what happened yesterday and what is going to happen today. Will then pay visit to customers and various stakeholders to align with progress before settling down at my desk to wrap up my agenda for the day. My relationship with co-workers have been extremely rewarding as i keep learning from them due to their different personalities. what i have learnt most is that TEAM WORK always win as long as team members understand their roles and responsibilities. The most challenging aspect of the job is to get a customer who is unware of his own requirements - then have to spend sometime to understand their environment and dynamics so you can adequately address their issues.
Pros: Good remuneration package overall

Work is mentally stimulating, but I question the current strategy taking the firm forward
Work is at Sasol mentally stimulating, but I question the current strategy which would take Sasol forward. The team at Sasol is excellent and I was working with strong teams. The culture fit was excellent, but I decided to move to seek for entrepreneurial opportunities
