It is a good company and the environment it very effective. get along easy with co- workers was the most wonderful thing happen in our department the spirit always high and w set our own standards. I've learn more plants in the company , i was given the opportunities to learn different plant as much as i can. I've learn so much especially to work against time because of tyhe project where coming in and out after week or two weeks , i had to make sure that i set my standard high.

Quality and complex transactions;experienced expert;no prospects of promotion;low remuneration
Rendering quality legal services and advice on high value and complex transactions;drafting, reviewing complex agreements; interacting with senior executives/management;advising on transactions to ensure that the company is protected commercially and from a legal risk perspective. Remain updated with developments in the law. Excellent and professional relationship with co-workers. I never stop learning. I have been lead legal advisor in all the significant international and domestic transactions undertaken by Sasol in the past 18 years. I enjoy complex transactions; negotiating and drafting. I put my heart and soul into a transaction and make many personal sacrifices. The low remuneration relative to the hard work and sacrifices made and my experience and expertise and the lack of recognition by the company has a negative impact on my morale.
Pros: 1. Reasonably good quality of work; high-end, high value transactions (general financing;project financing; corporate and M&A transactions; 2. international and localvariety of work
Cons: 1. No prospects of promotion whatsoever; 2. remuneration and benefits not commensurate with my experience and expertise in the fields of general financing;project financing; corporate and M&A transactions; 3. low morale - arguably the most experienced and senior lawyers in this organisation with very little prospects of promotion and a remuneration and benefits package that simply does not take my experience, expertise and seniority into account.

Excellent learning

Great Exposure
Experiencing some busy times inclusive of overtime at some point on projects and back to normal times where mostly task are done in a routine style. Team players working environment and brother's keeper driven working culture, knowledge and skills sharing work place. Seed multiplying attitude; self developing from the already given skill; and advancement. Positively do more than expected and excelling attitude. Fair treatment; fair play all the time and acknowledgement where practicably applicable. Encouragements and rewards are crucial within the working environment. The most challenging part of the job is to be singled out and entrusted with more critical projects, the best as well as excellent results are anticipated from the project leader.

Qualified Boilermaker
I'm a qualified boilermaker with supervision experience. I'm able to do fabrication and repairs and able to interpret drawings. I'm able to maintain good quality standards. I adhere to health and safety standards. I'm able to work both as a team and individual.

Exciting Position as Cost Controller
My hometown is Randfontein and to start working at 6:00 in Sandton my day starts at 4:00 in the mornings. I am a Cost Controller at Sasol and handle all of the Company's Software requirements from Pr creations till payment as well as various other structural Vendors. Recordkeeping of all pr's; po's; se's etc on a daily basis in order to submit a holistic and consolidated view of all. I am a hard worker, dedicated and always gives my all. My preference is to keep all to date and detail in all is a definite. I enjoy figures and have learnt that nothing comes without a price. The most challenging aspects of being a cost controller is to control all payment timeously and it is a never ending phase.... I am currently busy with my Technical Financial Accounting NQF 6 Diploma and will be done in 2018.

Doing G.O at Oxygen Plant
Planned 7 units within a month. Coordinated all disciplines to work in harmony and arranged all material and resources required in advance. Assessed all working area to determine resources and material that would be required. Doing plant walks with stakeholders to determine actions required prior to the actual jobs. Take all lessons learned in the previous G.O to improve the next G.O.

High Performing Culture
I have worked in different Plants within Sasol and each plant has its own culture and dynamics. I came across different and difficult individuals and I have learned not to compare anyone. Difficult Managers I worked with learned me to always be in one step ahead as the environment is challenging and demanding. I have a strong relationship with all 3 Unions within the Chemical Sector. My first Arbitration at the Bargaining Council was very challenging , but despite that, I have learned that each and every case is unique and consultation is important. Growing from being a Secretary to HR consultant within this organisation, make me appreciate it much more. Yes 15 years its a lot but it was worth it.

Plan (front end loading) maintenance, GO’s & Shutdown work in Sasol Power Station(Boilers, Gens, Turbine) ,Schedule, co-ordinate, execute Projects ,give feedback and status control on all executed work, do final multi –scheduling,

CURRENTLY I AM A LEARNER AT SASOLBURG PRODUCTION SKILLS ACADEMY DOING MY PRACTICALS AT CRESOL PLANT . I OBTAINED MY NQF 2 AND NQF 3 AT THIS PROCESS PLANT , I AM CURRENTLY BUSY WITH NQF LEVEL 4 AT THE SAME PLANT WHICH I WILL FINISH IT ON THE 24 FEBRUARY 2017 WHERE I WILL BE A QUALIFIED PROCESS ARTISAN .
