Sasol work review
I main responsibility at Sasol was SOX Control to make sure SAP A&A passed their yearly audit. I also managed all the consultants timesheets and liaised with their consulting houses whenever needed. The extra exposure to SAP and all the different modules was one of the job description I enjoyed the most. The most challenging part of my day would be to get feedback from the team on any questions or queries I might have had regarding their SOX feedback. I also had to set up meetings, take minutes and made sure that everything run smoothly in the office. The team at Sasol was one of the most amazing group of people to work with. Their team work and camaradi is something that I will miss.
Pros: Great exposure to SAP
Cons: Work doesn't vary alot. Same thing over and over. Can become boring.

Sasol
Working at Sasol has been an wonderful experience. I have been exposed to the more detailed workings of SAP and what it takes to Support SAP on a daily basis.
Pros: Support exposure to SAP & Flexible working hours
Cons: SOX Control work can become tedious.

This is a total new field for me and i think i can learn a lot
My relationship with co workers is good as long as thy do there work I learnt that if everybody do there work per day what you must do things will go well I enjiy most to do my work so when you off i will be in the Kruger Park To learn wast and do my work

Excellent learning

Excellent learning curve.
It is an environment that assists those who are willing to become level headed and expert in problem solving. This is due to the difficulties in the environment and various red tape. However the existing challenges allow one to learn creative ways of finding workable solutions for the benefit of project delivery. Within governance but also stretching the boundaries where possible and within reason. Daiiy challenges which can prune one into an excellent problem solver and negotiator.

I am currently having nqf level 4 in chemical operation and safety samtrec . I am reliable responsible able to make decision in every duty I make and I'm willing to learn new things in my career to improve. my daily job in the plant outside I take samples and analyse them , do plant inspection and house keeping, plant troubleshooting as per plant matrix, follow safety procedures, assisting team members on root course analysis, start up and shutdown of the plant safely. inside control room monitor process variables and do adjustment where necessary, start up and shutdown plant safely, reporting defects on the process to the shift leader.I am seeking a position that will enable me to attain as much experience and exposure in my current field of study and it will be my pleasure if my request could be taken into consideration.
Pros: learn how to keep safety in the work place and at home, it is a complex place that gives the opportunity to grow in the career field
Cons: 12 hour shift in 4 by 5 shift(two morning shift two night shift)

I am glad to have worked for this wonderful company for more than 10 years.
I manage a team of more than 250 personnel across the Southern African region i.e SA, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. I do a lot of travelling as most of my sites are situated in remote areas across South Africa. I have a strong team with strong interpersonal skills and have one common goal and that is to achieve as a team. We have a good understanding of each other and our expectations are well defined and accepted by all of us. I have learnt that without a team no one can achieve anything. What i enjoy most is the level of diversity within my department and the way they respect each other and their respective jobs. The most challenging aspect of my job is that it entails lots of travelling and sometimes i miss a lot in terms of my kids everyday development but a man has to work to provide a better future. My family understands as we have a common goal.

Cons: Having to wake up at 2am whenever there's an incident on the road.
