The Family

Smollan is an amazing company to work for, mainly because they are so family orientated. My typical day is to check on my execs diary in the morning, read and answer any emails that demand my attention. I also make sure that. The domestic workers are okay and that they have completed their morning duties. I escalate any maintenance issues, pay accounts and set up meetings. I always make my boss a cup of coffee in the morning and have a conversation about how she would like her day to go and if I should add any more meetings or cancel. Taking care of 150 staff can be challenging to say the least but everyday is different and most days I feel so proud that we have grown and come this far together. I'll keep saying that smollan is a family and it's something that you can't help but feel. Your not a number.

Pros: Experience, mentoring with senior persons or any team you would like to move into. Bee shares once a year.
Cons: No medical aid

Unhappy

Long working hours for unreasonable salary. Miscommunication between Supervisor and Product Consultants. No adequate training provided. No space or potential for promotion. Supervisor unfit for specific position as supervisor. Contract rules terms and conditions are breached and supervisor makes his own rules regarding our off-days and salary dates. Co-workers like Sales or floor managers is not friendly and will not co operate at times

Excellent learning curve

they dont value employees as much as they should. you dont mean anything until they need you for something, thats their weakness. an employee needs to feel they are always needed.

I am good at selling anything. Good with customers and effective sale administration

With the years I have worked I have gained much knowledge and experience in merchandising, field sales, costumers interaction and computer skills. Although its hard to work different kinds of people I try to put the goals of the company and my achievements first so that's what makes me a good team play.

Great experience into managerial position as pride myself with sales

I embrace change; I’m thoughtful (past colleagues have been known to call me “strategic”); I am proactive; I champion company culture; I analyse and streamline with a view to improve processes; I love the customer service industry more especially in Sales; I’m willing to take the right risks; I’m full of ideas; I go the extra mile; My customer service experience speaks for itself; and I have practical experience within sales and marketing

Growth

I'm currently seeking opportunity to grow within what I had studied, which is Human Resources Management. I have experience in administration and retail as well. Working for Samsung and Eskom has really grounded me in the sense that ive learned to have a sense of urgency in everything I do, time management is key, I've come know that your passion for the work that you do shows in what has been presented and that there's is always room for growth np matter how many accomplishments one has. I feel as though I would be eligible the position as I am very passionate about human resources. It's not just about recruiting it's about helping people grow and find their passion as well and therefore plant that seed in order for them to grow as well. I look forward to your response.

Maketer value

It is nice nd challenging to work​ at Smollans and Associates,and initially there was a hope that hard work discipline loyalty does pay off but now all that is something of the past and there's not even a leader to climb on anymore.

Good customer service experience and a learning curve.

I am a well spoken person who enjoys working with people as i believe in not only independence, however interdependence as well, and that has made me to be able to have mutual understanding with different race, age or group. Convincing people and handling objections is one of my strong points and it always works to my advantage. My only weak point is losing and failing so i work to the best of my abilities in order to achieve my target and goals and that has groomed me to be a good, trustworthy employee that will bring integrity, competence and commitment to the company. I aspire to learn and grow in this business, hence I strive to reinvent myself and improve my short coming where it is due.

Excellent sale manager

I'm working five (5)days per week but sometimes if there have ask me to work 6 days I work.my relationship with my co-workers is so good because we work as a team there is no boss.we give the best service than ever.I have learnt that don't use your position when you work with your co-workers.work as a team you will do better things for the campaign.the most challenging aspects of this job is to give the best service of the campaign every time.

Brilliant gaining of expertise

I am an individual who is very passionate about the sales and marketing industry and I've worked for the Sony Xperia brand and the PlayStation brand,I worked for Offlimits as a freelancer, being team leader for a Coca Cola nationwide roadshow,and I was a brand Ambassador for Nintendo, doing roadshows,mall activations and instore activations,so not only did I gain the ability,knowledge and experience in communicating and selling a brand to a consumer on a personal level and also,roadshows enabled me to do that in a crowd setting. I also worked for Miller as a brand Ambassador At present Ive been working for the Samsung brand since September 2015 ,as a Expert product consultant and its my desire to see myself grow into other avenues within the sales and marketing industry .
