I have been work for Saps for more than 10 years. I worked at Csc for 5 years and moved from crime prevention to sector policing, crime office as a detective and finally Joined the North West Tactical Response Team for six years now. My job is not challenging anymore. Im currently a section commander doing managerial duties. So im looking for a challenging job.
Pros: In the TRT we do the same thing always.
Cons: There is lack of promotions and Money is not sufficient for person with responsibilities.A person cant but a car of a decent house with salary offered by Saps.

Good Communication Skills
- Media Monitoring ( Mostly Print) - Media Liaison - (Radio/TV/Online News) - Report daily to manager on whats happening on media - I have a good relationship with my colleagues, they are god communicators - I have learned how media has an influence in an organisation and also how to build relationship with the media and how they can assist in bringing a positive image to the organisation. I have learned the importance of marketing the brand of SAPS and also what key factors are needed in organisation an event. - I enjoy the monitoring of media and planning the events as well - Is to work hard and not be appreciated for the job done even if you are doing your managers job as a junior member. Lack of appreciation.
Pros: Learned a lot of organisational skills because of events, under pressure if most Gauteng police stories are trending on the media so i would have to do media monitoring on that and produce a report

CARREER
The work is very good like any other work and the relationship with my commanders are very good and I have learnt so many things withing the SAPS , What are enjoye the most to arrest the criminals, so i think need to explore the other work beside the SAPS.
Pros: THE OPPORTUNITHY OF PROMOTION IS VERY LOW

Honsest, intergrity, professional and cartesy
We are required to be honest, serve with pride and intergrity at all times when perfoming our day to day duties. we are also expected to be more professional at all times as we are dealing with large number of society and other role players which form strategic partner in combating crimes ,eg Community policing forum, Business sector, and other Law enforcement agency like Metro police security industry, and army base as wel;l as cil society
Pros: I have been promoted to this current rank
Cons: 8 hours everyday unless we work overtime

Experienced
I am very enthusiastic person who enjoy to take charge of things but at the same time I enjoye to work as a part of the team. I like new challenges and to also share my experience with others. I like challenges and if I am given opportunity on this post I will bring the positive contribution towards the organization.

Striving to produce good quality work
I am a fast learner, willing to learn. I always put clients needs first, dedicated to my work. I can work under pressure and meet deadline. To be motivated by my employer so that can work harder.

I had excellent learning curve
I have been with the company for almost sixteen years and hace learnt alot. I have managed an section on its own without any supervision. I am computer literate. I am a team player. I have build strong working relationship with my colleagues over the years.
Pros: working till four oclock
Cons: no opportunity for promotion

Review
a start to my day entails in reading emails and dispersing them to the appropriate personnel. conducting morning inspections in respect of members, dogs and vehicles. i have an excellent working relationship with my colleagues. i am a highly skilled person in relation to working with dogs as i am trained in 4 types of dog disciplines. i love working with my current dog. he is a trained body fluid detection dog. this aspect of my job is very challenging in that i attend to many different types of crime scenes. my job has equipped me with many skills.

Policing is tough
I don't get recognition for hard work. Constant internal arguments. I start of Nipissing the suspect(03:45). Doing their finger prints Arranging and getting the dockets suspect ready for court Following up on previous convictions and previous cases pending. Attending court for bail applications Visiting complainants their homes. Arranging fingerprints Escorting suspects to court Reception Serving the community
Pros: Irregular hours.
Cons: Good salary
