My Experience in the Banking Sector
I work from 7:30am till 4:00pm Monday to Friday I work with Attorneys, Branch Network and Business Suites (sending out instructions for the Registration and Cancellation of Bonds documents) I have a family here at Standard Bank, that's how I see my colleagues, we work well together. Over the 7 years i have learnt a lot about the Business/Banking Environment: Customer first, the importance of time management, loyalty, integrity, communication and always giving feedback to our customers, doing things right the first time (Accuracy) and loving what you do (enjoying my work) I have the fact that my job keeps me on my toes and that i learn something new everyday. Meeting turn around times and making sure that the customer is happy is the toughest challenge but it is done as expected and more.
Pros: Moving around the department and learn so many other duties in Collateral.
Cons: Working during my lunch breaks and Saturdays to meet turn times and complete all my duties in time.

Excellent communication skills
working at my current employer is tough but i like the challenges i have learned a lot from good people they are very supportive and they would allow growth. i would like to move on because i like to challenge myself more as currently i am comfortable and i feel in order for me to grow i need to look for a new challenge.

Working in a challenging area
I am currently in an extremely busy position, and don't stop from when I walk in until I go home. Our division is understaffed and we all work in a team to get the work done. Deadlines have to be met as they are all cost related. I have a good relationship with my co-workers and always do, wherever I go. I don't let office politics get to me. I learnt to do finances on a higher level, than what I used to and got more experience in MS Project. I enjoy the administrative side of the position much more than the financial side. I felt challenged when I didn't understand the way they did their finances in the beginning, but am comfortable with it now.
Pros: I am gaining more experience and am thankful for the position. Convenient location.
Cons: Being a contractor, I can be told any day that the contract is up. No security and rate not being increased enough.

Coachable and i chose to have a mentor
I am a committed, disciplined, honest and diligent worker who enjoys completing tasks assigned to me as best I can. I consider myself to be highly motivated, eager to acquire new skills and I continuously update and expand my knowledge. I am a team player that works well with both my colleagues, internal customers and other applicable stakeholders. I have achieved a wide spectrum of knowledge within the financial service sector with experience in both commercial as well as retail banking credit and risk environment. My specialties are credit analysis reporting on business performance and credit risk.

Great experience working there and awesome opportunity
It's amazing working at standard bank, the colleagues are amazing, the environment makes it easier for people to work there, management is great, have learnt to work with a lot of different people, it has taught me to be punctual and it has taught me professionalism, the most challenging was having differences when dealibg with client's cash but management helps us through it, overall great experience!

I started working at Standard Bank in March 2015 through Business Banking Learnership, and was permanently placed 10months after the Learnership started as an Account Analyst Small Agricultural Segment. In June 2017, I was promoted as a Account Analyst Business Segment. I was basically assisting an Account Executive managing a portfolio of customers with Annual Income of 10-100 million per annum
Pros: I started working at Standard Bank in March 2015 through Business Banking Learnership, and was permanently placed 10months after the Learnership started as an Account Analyst Small Agricultural Segment. Excellent learning curve
Coming from an fmcg background whereby the bus stops with marketing, coming to the bank where the bus stops with business, its vital that you understand your internal customer which is business so that you can be able to sell your strategy without offending anyone. Its vital to sell your idea taking into account that the financial people are interested in return on investment in a short term. I have found this interesting and made realize that building relationship is a key factor because business is the one that sells your tragedy at front line and not marketing as is in fmcg
