Working on site for the first time was an adventure

First time working on site is a very demanding job, needs one to be alert at all times due to the fact you are working with many people at once. Its a nice environment, learning new this about construction procedures and processes. one challenge i came across is working hours bt eventually i got used to them

i am a hand on person and dedicated worker and will go to great lengths, to achieve perfection and goals in everything that i do. no task is too big or small for me, each challenge i am exposed to will shape me to be more equipped to solve further solutions.

5years working experience

Hard Worker

At my previous work I have learned a lot.if we are pouring concrete and the team can't manage we used to help each other as we are foreman. My relationship with co workers was the thing that I will never forget we were one big family. I have leanerd a lot from civil construction on how to communicate with the clients. I enjoy working far from home as there is no disturbances on focusing on my job.The most challenging aspects of my job is when we have to reach the target of another foreman who passed away or resigned.

Pros: I am a hard worker who can get promotion anytime
Cons: I like long working hours because you learn a lot from there.

Exiting experience with lots of learning opportunities.

Each day has its own challenges to say the least. Its a great experience to work with the diverse people and ethnicity and having to lead them to see eye to eye. Some days are better than others when it comes to problem solving on site, and that is what I enjoy the most. sometimes language barriers also becomes a problem to communication your colleagues but solved by other means of communication.

Pros: Great learning and promotion opportunity
Cons: working in inclement weather and the language barriers

Verry skilled colleges, have learned a lot over the years

I am in charge of SHEQ in the company in addition to that I run all the relevant systems. A typical day includes the update of systems to comply with standards or legislation, conducting of audits, having strategic meetings with management, conducting internal process audits, formulating management reports. Chairing disiplanarary hearings, conducting project quality inspections, updating statistics, communication to project level.

Pros: Good working environment
Cons: Must be available 24 7

It was an excellent learning curve whrwrby

I was given so much responsibility,which I handled excellently. We were doing a total of 81 buildings,the name of the project is kusile power station.

Pros: When you work hard,chances of promotion are very high
Cons: We work long hours at times ,for example when pouring concrete

Work planning Setting targets for my team Transferring of levels, reading and interpreting drawings Writing daily reports, organizing training and medical. making sure all Sheq rules are followed and safety file is updated. Ordering of materials

Excellent learning curve

I enjoy problem solving because that keeps me learning continuously. As much as I perform during normal working days I also excelled working under pressure. My relationship with core workers is excellent as I have leant to communicate effectively example ; giving feedback to end users even if it the feedback is positive. The challenging aspect of the job is when people do not plan their work, but I had leant to cope and do my level best and go an extra mile to keep the end user happy at all times.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Working on weekends

Good learning curve.

It is a good thing to working with the company, I'm working under tailing operations, I have learned because is the first time working shift job,I learned to an operater,both for pump station and monitor guns, changing 8 and 6 mm diameter pipes.also learned how to work safely as a safety Rep.

Cons: we work for 12hours
