Great company to build a career with

Telkom is a great company, but the ability to grow within in the company is very slender. Company really looks after its own, but you remain in the position you started in for years with a increase in income but position remains the same

Telkom is such a broad company and you always learn something everyday .? I have learnt a lot about myself while I was working for telkom. It has helped on being more confident on m communication abolities

Excellent learning curve,

Management style is bad, middle management not in charge of what they are are employed to do, they are managed by strings from higher up the ladder, even when things are not correct they just play along.

Pros: Good salary.
Cons: No opportunity for promotion

Learnt patience and empathy

Not everyday is the same and everday I get to meet new people .My colleagues "My Family " we fight , we cry and sometimes share problems together and sometimes they my shoulder to cry on.

Stressful

Constantly doing unnecessary admin,fixing people reporting to you's mistakes and handling customer queries.There is always unnecessary double work expected from us to do.Any mistakes done whether by your direct reports or system we are expected to fix.

Lesrning respect ach other's cultire and religion

Normal office day. Co workers were friendly and warm we were basically a family.Tolarent and respect was of essence. Regardless of culture or religion we were respective of esch other and value each others opinion. Our team building's and office times just a day out off office it's like a year.We had fun productive times. Not much as we all supported each other including our section to carry out the task..

Driver and technician

Use route navigation apps and knowledge of erea to deliver packages to customers on time. We fix internet problems and installed internet and had to get work done before end of the day. Even if it means working over time. I love to work with a team that always tell when there's a problem so that it could be sorted out(problem with the job or between the workers).

Cons: Working over time at this company was never a prblem its just that they let you know on a sort notice.
