Excellent learning curve
mentoring students helped me understand the subjects i was was tutoring better as it made me explain concepts more . it also opened my eyes to the different departments in chemical engineering that i am interested in . one of the thing i enjoyed most was being able to help , helping others understand things that they are failing to understand. the most challenging aspects was trying to understand ever learner and explaining to them in a way that they would understand ,and every student is different .
Pros: gave me a better view of chemistry
Cons: none

Fast learner and enthusiastic
I make sure that students are happy with the services offered to them and be a spoke person to their demands. I have learnt a communication skill and i have inquired the skill of being the channel member to communicate with both management and students. I always enjoy being respected and also show respect to candidates whom i represent, and was i enjoyed the most was to build my self confidence to be able to talk in front of a large number of people. I was is challenging is the fact that many older people that i represent usually don't respect in some cases and i have to find a solution on how to make them respect and always see me as their leader by not degrading me.
Pros: I can be a great asset to the company when given the opportunity
Cons: I have 8 hours a day

Excellent learning curve of the workplace environment I have to serve all TUT stakeholders
The day would start at 7am to 3/4 pm on each day of the work. Shift would require you to work with a different student assistant each day. This would require team playing. I’d assist all TUT stakeholders, be it students, tut employees or community members. It was a fast pace environment where I’d have to assist in lines, reporting and answering calls at the same time.
Pros: Flexible hours
Cons: No off days
