What You'll Give Our Customers Your key accountability is to provide service excellence and achieve customer satisfaction, so ensuring that the quality of information provided are in line with Absa standards is of key importance. Within this domain you will be compiling monthly audit skills tests to improve knowledge. Another accountability includes achieving contracted service level agreements, like achieving productivity, maintain and exceed set targets, maintain lower numbers of outbound / transferred calls and achieving the set sales targets. Within this job specification, you will need to adhere to compliance and control measures, like ensuring that 100% of compliance tests are completed and sick leave is captured, as well as completing sign on register. You will need commitment and transparency to support the PD process and also show support and involvement in all community activities.

Great exposure to business management and various products

I have built my business units strategy aligned to the company objectives. The key things I address in my strategy are always: Company (This relates to any financial impact in the business. Profitability and increased revenue are top of mind. Manage an effective sales team by closely driving performance and sales targets. Be visible to all opportunities and potential new business. I am not afraid to set high targets but be close enough to ensure we track regularly and address shortfalls immediately). Customer (To ensure we differentiate our service offering to our competitors and to build relationships and revenue with profitable clients and do not maintain unprofitable clients). Staff – (To have the best people for the job. To lead by example, improve productivity, address non-performance. Manage an effective Cost to Income ratio in the business).

Learning something new everyday

At my current job we work in a high pressure environment which is filled with new things to learn on a daily basis. There is always a something new to learn everyday and new concepts are introduced quite often in my line of work and that keeps me on my feet. Most of the learning is side by side learning and buddying with our co workers so we depend on the more experienced team members for guidance which makes it important to develop relationships with each and every person on the floor. I mostly enjoy being able to interact with different clients from all over the country, from different backgrounds and being able to laugh with the clients who exude so much energy and have a strong sense of humor. It can be a great challenge when you have an irate client who is not having a good day, but making them feel understood and letting them know that you want to help them can change all of that.

I am working for a bank

i am a pa to the financial planner at absa .i make appointments,filing ,sending qoutations,follow ups on applications,sending and receiving fax and emails,scanning documents.i have learnt how to respect clients and i also enjoy communicating with them.the most challenging aspects is when i get rude clients because sometimes they dont give you a chance to listen to you.. i have a good relationship with my co workers.

Pros: get to do as much as you put in,no office ,sometimes no lunch,less staff
Cons: not much at first,no medical benefits

I was a hard worker.

I was a sales consultant and i was make presentations to the group of people . I was able to meet my target every time. I was selling deferent products. I have nqf level 5 in banking and insurance. I was able to handle pressure always . I have a positive attitude. I we're working as a team.

Established and effective value add

I have crafted and implemented the RBB Execution Risk Framework which provides an overview of delivery risks and overall progress to the RBB Executive Committee on the Retail and Business Bank Book of Work for 2017. I am also responsible for two strategic programmes at present. Creation of an Execution Risk Framework to minimise delivery risk and assessing resourcing across the Retail and Business Bank portfolio on project level Responsible for the Retail and Business Bank (Barclays Africa Group Limited) Africa Investment Board submission Active mentoring and training of junior staff in the Project Management discipline Improving the way of working in the Transformation Planning team Constructed a Customer Satisfaction Survey to measure team performance with customers Programme Management for the Retail and Business Bank Valpre programme – decoupling of Absa/Barclays elements

Pros: Familiar environment. Specialist in delivering multi discipline programmes across the group. I am a mentor to my colleagues and understand the bank and challenges in the bank well.
Cons: No scope for promotion in my current team. No new challenges or experiences in my role.

Excellent exposure

Review and approve building designs. Meet colleagues and discuss strategic issues for both FM and engineering. Check that designs meet minimum functional requirements for our customers. Do a campus walker about daily and meet clients.

Pros: Great learning opportunity
Cons: With the size of the company sometimes it takes longer to make decisions.

They is portal that have all absa product it assist when ever we dont know what to do

it a very polite working environment we always work as a team in assisting client we always living in our company values of which it respect integrity service excellent and give the best service

Pros: there are oppotunities i was doing telephone banking and now am promoted to sales
Cons: 8 hours per day
