What You'll Give Our Customers Your key accountability is to provide service excellence and achieve customer satisfaction, so ensuring that the quality of information provided are in line with Absa standards is of key importance. Within this domain you will be compiling monthly audit skills tests to improve knowledge. Another accountability includes achieving contracted service level agreements, like achieving productivity, maintain and exceed set targets, maintain lower numbers of outbound / transferred calls and achieving the set sales targets. Within this job specification, you will need to adhere to compliance and control measures, like ensuring that 100% of compliance tests are completed and sick leave is captured, as well as completing sign on register. You will need commitment and transparency to support the PD process and also show support and involvement in all community activities.

Working for ABSA has taught me to be firm and stand my ground or else people will walk over me.
My day begins with signing on to my workstation and opening my safe . I than set my drop safe as it has the most of the money which i work with through the day. I do transactions such as withdrawals,transfers and deposits through the day. At the end of the day i than balance my money and make sure it's what i should be. I have a relatively good relationship with most of my colleagues . I have learnt that every job has its own level of difficulty ,however,nothing is unattainable. I enjoy helping clients and making they're banking experience a pleasant one. The most challenging aspect of the job is always having to ask for authorization .
Pros: There aren't really any pros except that there are those clients who always brighten up your day when you're down.
Cons: The high expectation of sales which is not part of our contracts

Excellent
I like my job as on a daily basis I help clients with their accounts, I have a very good relationship with my co - workers I am always willing to assist them with queries on a daily basis. Not all clients are the same every day i speak to different types of people. I enjoy helping people around me and on the call.

Excellent learning curve, taught me to be detail orientated, responsibility.
To tell you more about myself, I worked for ABSA TRUST for 1 year 6 months, as an assistant administrator in the administration department. At the time I was working there, i was taught to: Effectively multitasking and juggling several tasks at once, even when under severe pressure
Pros: Great opportunity for promotion, to learn more about investments and to know where you are going in life.

Learning something new everyday
At my current job we work in a high pressure environment which is filled with new things to learn on a daily basis. There is always a something new to learn everyday and new concepts are introduced quite often in my line of work and that keeps me on my feet. Most of the learning is side by side learning and buddying with our co workers so we depend on the more experienced team members for guidance which makes it important to develop relationships with each and every person on the floor. I mostly enjoy being able to interact with different clients from all over the country, from different backgrounds and being able to laugh with the clients who exude so much energy and have a strong sense of humor. It can be a great challenge when you have an irate client who is not having a good day, but making them feel understood and letting them know that you want to help them can change all of that.

Having been in different parts of the bank, I enjoy that many of my colleagues see me as a specialist in franchising and acquisition. It can be both a curse and a blessing but I see it as an affirmative of my willingness to help

Great Experience need new Opportunities
The area I live in limits my opportunities in the company as there are many people applying for the same positions. Management at retail level are not well equipped to deal with people they know the business but not the part that they need to get the best from their employees. Interviews are usually a formality and depends a lot on your relationship with management as opposed to your actual qualifications and performance. There is not enough time in the day to complete the work assigned. I have learnt that planning is very important and without adequate planning the challenges will overcome you. i love people so my relationship with my colleagues are good, i would like to think that I make a positive impact on them as most of them do for me. I enjoy the rare opportunities to interact with customers and get the feel of the challenges that front line staff have. I also enjoy the rare opportunities I get to train and coach people, and try and give valuable tips to allow them to do their jobs well.

Work review
In a day of frustration everyone gets frustrated however only commitment, and situation analysis makes one to keep his head high and not forgetting that it is all about the client. My relationship with co-workers is the best since I am good with people, cooperative and I am a team that keeps a smile on his co-workers every day. I have learned a lot from, from making sure that one's work doesn't suffer, keeping good relationship with co-workers as well with our clients as they are the core of a business. I enjoy doing my work to the best of my ability and laughing together as a team because the workplace is our second home since we spend most of our time there. Clients that doesn't want to cooperate are a huge challenge as well as slow systems other than that anything that doesn't affect the is that much of a challenge.
