Ensuring High Risk and PEP population is marked compliant on time before their due dates. Ensuring that all clients comply with FICA as well as SARB regulations. Monitor transactional activities of the clients as an effort to combat STs (Suspicious Transactions) Report on entities that have adverse news & assist in concluding whether the news bring about reputations damage to the bank. Monitor “triggers” that affect my assigned High Risk and PEP population.

Excellent working inviroment

Ii a typical day, come in log in to be ready I'm quite popular, hardworking helpful and very serious with my work. A huge team player. I enjoy it when the clients get paid their benefits timeously Iya challenging when clients don't get paidli

They are on a journey to re-defined culture

In the 5 years that I have worked in Absa, I have been developed quiet a lot as a leader. It is safe to say that I joined as a senior manager and I grew into a senior leader. There are still challenges in getting leaders to trust the people who work for them. There is still a long way to go in empowering capable people but the direction taken now is the right one.

Pros: Large Organisation with a lot of opportunities
Cons: You might not grow your career as quickly as you can

Great experience about Insurance

I have grown as an individual, was professionally challenged. I appreciate the knowledge added on to me about Sort term insurance. We had a Group of sales team, retention team and client services team. We all had out wacky Wednesday of making sure we double our daily target. It was fun and a fast learning environment.

I was a hard worker.

I was a sales consultant and i was make presentations to the group of people . I was able to meet my target every time. I was selling deferent products. I have nqf level 5 in banking and insurance. I was able to handle pressure always . I have a positive attitude. I we're working as a team.

Good learnibg curve

ABSA is a good company that I would recommend to people who are starting their careers.It offers plenty learning opportunities at a starting level.Currently I am a reconciluation administrator.My passion lies on Marketing of which job opporrtunities in that field are not availble within the company.I mostly interact with my collegues and work on reports that need my individual attention .I find mininum opportunities to get promotion within my unit and long hours to be most challenging.

EXCELLENT

AS IVE BEEN WORKING FOR ABSA FOR 4YEARS I REALLY ENJOYED MEETING NEW PEOPLE AND NEW FIRENDS I HAVE LEARNT ALOT IN THE BANKING INDUSTRY AND WHAT TO DO IN DIFFCULT SITUATIONS WHEN IT COME TO CLEINTS. MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY CO-WORKERS IS VERY POSTIVE ALTHOUGH WE MIGHT HAVE OUR OWN PERSONALITIES AND DIFFERENCE WE ALWAYS MANAGE TO SORT OUT AND GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER. I LEARNT HOW TO DEAL WITH DIFFCULT CLIENTS AND THE ABSA SYSTEM AS WELL AS THE ADMIN THAT IS REQUIRED I ALSO LEARNT A THING OR TWO ABOUT SALES AND HOW TO SELL A PRODUCT.

Excellent environment

Online trainer

I have learnt to work with various people. my job was to train corporate clients on using a Banking payment system, which was very challenging and exciting. I learnt how to navigate various computers as clients used different ones. Using different accounting packages by exporting payments out of it and importing it, into the banking system. traveling to different locations for on site training, Capturing my teams stats at the end of the day for accurate client reports. Assisting my colleagues and manager when they needed assistance. I am a confident bubbly person and enjoy different challenges I face in life.
