Great company to work for
I HAVE GROWN A LOT SINCE I JOINED THE COMPANY AND IT IS A WONDERFUL COMPANY TO WORK FOR and diversity and culture. It gives people the opportunity to study and learn and further their studies.
Pros: You grow and get and opportunity to further your studies
Cons: No matter how experienced you get ,you salary is the down fall

Excellent learning curve
I have worked in the collections department at African Bank assisting clients with queries relating to their accounts. The aim is to collect, on overdue accounts in order to clear arrears, get accounts up-to date and collect on arrears to meet and pass collection targets, in line with company policies and guidelines. I interacted with clients regarding the banks products and offering demanding that I be a brand ambassador. Regulation is important and I am guided by rules and regulations that apply to legal debt collections.

Excellent experience
I have a total of 4 years work experience in this field and am confident that I am the best candidate for your vacancy. My present position has taught me the importance of clear communication and customer service. In my current role I resolve savings, loan, credit card that includes sales peach to clients for new products in the bank. I have received excellent performance evaluations from my managers and have been formally recognized by them for my contribution towards my department’s success.

Working from home opportunity
Working from home opportunities which is good and the flexi hours make it easy to attend to other things when require. Bonus in not guaranteed and you never know how much you will get. Overall the environment is not that bad d

Life lesson
The company is quite a good to work for as if feels like home where everyone is welcoming and showing love and kindness,but the problem is the pressure that we get while we not being enabled to reach out targets with the leads given.
Pros: No opportunity for promotions unless you rub shoulders with managers
Cons: There is a lot of favourtisim which does not serve other people right.

Outstanding learning opportunities
A typical day starts with a scan of emails and schedules for the day. Urgent emails are dealt. Weekly and monthly meetings are attended throughout the day. Meetings with team to discuss progress and issues that need to be dealt. Meeting with stakeholders to provide status and deal issues which may have cropped up. Catch-ups with co-workers are an important part of the job to stay on top of any impacts to the projects which constantly crops up due to either resource capacity or changes to specs. To be on top of things in the work environment is essential and achieved with meeting with all stakeholders (team members, business stakeholders/clients, business areas whose team members form part of the project team, etc.) The challenge is having your team members working on multiple projects and their capacity constraints which can be dealt with being clear on your projects requirements, time required and tasks to be completed.

Cons: Not being able to tackle all opportunities due to resource constraints

IT service desk is great if you need to grow because they give us a chance to support all the applications, be creative, do research when it comes to troubleshooting. It really makes your work more interesting. The team i am working with is very helpful, we always willing and ready to assist each other to resolved user issues. The management gives you a room to grow as they allow us to take responsibilities of the incident we log from reporting until resolution. The most interesting thing is that you learn new things everyday, you always come across a new issue.

Appreciate the experience and the growth of learning in a different field
Accurately I am not working my contract ended this month and it won't be renewed but working for African as an Transactional consultant was good learning experience for me because it was something new that I never studied nor had experience in , taught me alot about the banking world I can say.
Pros: Great opportunity for gaining experience
Cons: Only one weekend off in a month
