The company takes training very seriously, there's a lot of career growth
Great company to work at, especially when you are still young and want to enhance your professional skills. Up to so far I've seen people excell in their careers, occupying top positions in a short space of time. Typical work day include challenging and yet interesting environment with fascinating people who mentor you so that you can reach your highest potential. It's a friendly environment to work in, pressure is there, but you are taught all tricks of every job. You learn everyday, you grow as a person. The working hours are flexible, you get enough day offs. The most challenging aspect is when a daily target has to be met, sometimes you get breakdowns on machines that support the production process, and the maintenance team trying their level best to reduce downtime on production loss. You have to upkeep with the fast pace in order to cover for that downtime loss
Pros: Lots of training for growth, equal opportunity for everyone
Cons: I can't think of any

Great Workplace
My experience at Mittal is managing to produce what is required from me and my team mates 8Hours work during the week and 12 hours on Wednesday/Friday Saturday and Sunday is what sharpened me to be able to work under pressure My fellow Employees and I worked in a nice way to such an extend that we have routines of how we execute daily tasks and a monthly plan amongst ourself What I enjoyed most is having the relationship with the management coworkers as well as the customers who came in daily and end up knowing our working style and treatment towards them, which made them feel welcome The greatest challenge is to be able to dispatch 30-40 trucks of Metal Sheet Plates to the customers per 12Hours shift And the other challenge is to knock off at 22:00 on Thursday night and be able to go to work again on Friday morning 05:30
Pros: Working Experience and other training opportunities
Cons: Promotion is limited

I was the safety representative of my shift
Arcelor Mittal is a very big company .The environment is very hostile and full of dust and other chemicals, but if you put o the correct PPE no injuries or harm will come your way.We work for eight hours a day and sometimes twelve hours if we are doing over time.Communication is very important to make sure we work as a team to produce good quality steel.I was the she rep of my shift so as to make sure everyone worked safe.I enjoy it when we as a shift managed to do our daily target for the day.when there is machine failure, the whole plant comes to a stop. Then we fall behind our monthly target.
Pros: there are many fields within the company
Cons: the company is very strict about safety rulkes

Indeed it is an excellent leaning curve with challenges everyday
Days are not the same but the productive ones are those where we have to work as a team to prevent or solve a major breakdown in time.My skills grow daily thanks to my seniors whom are grooming me into one of the best millwrights i can ever be.I enjoy everyday at work because i given the opportunity to prove my skills everyday. i love my co-workers we get along so well i feel like we all have leadership skills, well some do have their bad days but we do talk about them to avoid spoiling our shift. The best most challenging time is when we encounter a major breakdown and a deadline. Everyone of us must communicate, plan and all come up with a solution that will make all of us happy. helping each other and executing what needed to be executed. I have learnt a lot i must say and i thank them . I would stay if the company was not going through a strain.
Pros: You will definitely learn a lot.
Cons: It can get too hot or too cold
