Excellent learning curve
Turbid meter, Gravimetric analysis, Photometric, Stats quality control, LIMS, First line maintenance for analytical equipment, Training and assessment of lab personnel, ordering of lab consumables (SAP DMS), authorization and reporting of analyzed results. Attendance of monthly meetings between the Lab and the production team.
Pros: Great opportunity for skills enhancement
Cons: Short staff, too much workload.

Hard working and fast learner
Preventive maintenance on machines, schedule, and safety: fault finding, PLC, electrical and mechanical quality and performance of machines. Preventive maintenance on the line, including breakdowns. Knowledge of electronics as applied to the control of heavy electrically driven equipment. Diagnoses equipment malfunctioning using appropriate test instrument and circuit diagram Responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation work. Fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment. Inspect and examine machine to detect a malfunctioning parts.

Best training exposure, in all trades
Arcelor Mittal is a very good company to work on, especially when you are still new in the industry, the exposure you get is more than enough to help you qualify. I am fortunate enough because I get all with everyone around me that makes my job more easier and the guys around me they are happy to help me if I should get any difficulties when performing my everyday tasks. I enjoy the fact that there is always something to work on, and every week you are likely to get something new to do or manufacture.

Learning is always a part of
Doing day to day tasks having a great suport staff being part of a team that has a positive outlook on workload having the freedom to ask if unsure having a great aspect of safty and enviromental issues.

Excellent learning curve
Good company for skill development, zero tolerance for unsafe behavior. Also good in diversity and no racial discrimination. Fair job security. Low performance insentives.

I did my Millwright Apprenticeship at ArcelorMittal SA and my duties are listed below after I have been qualified as Millwright no experience. I worked on a rotational shift basis for AMSA since 2017/03/28. I work in Conarc in the Steel Making Department Phase at Saldanha Steel. plenty of learning opportunity people are willing to help safety is very high looking out for buddy I had a great working day with my co workers went on team building days work hard if we work lean new things from my team members.I enjoy when we were under presser because that is when your team is looking up to you to perform
Pros: the opportunity for promotion is not good in the steel industry nowadays
Cons: 4 shift pattens plenty overtime someday 16 hour a day
