My day at work

A typical work day is very busy as we deal with the entire group it's taxing but there's collaboration in our team as the saying goes your team is only as strong as it's weakest link, the ability to be dynamic is something I had to improve on as with such a large group no two days are ever the same and you must always be prepared for anything

Cons: Competition for promotion as most people are studying or completed studies in the finance field

Great exposure

As head cashier you get to deal with queries of customers on a daily basis, it's best to keep calm and to be professional at all times. I've learned how to handle myself under pressure that's when you strive to prove your worth I work very close with my co-workers, it's a family type of environment, and everyone is driven to do their best and be a success. The best part about my job is meeting new people from everywhere across the world.

Excellent service

I learned about team working and how to handle a bad customer by being always kind and cheerful with a smile. Teamwork was always our daily practice and to have friendship with colleagues. And always be pantual at work. I also enjoyed working with customers from different places especially those who came from overseas and locally. I had a good relationship with my co workers.

A typical work day would be being at the job bright snd early, preparing and counting the float/money. Cleaning up and making sure the store is ready for customers. I would normally make conversations with my boss and offer to make her coffee. We do regular counts of stock and upload it on to the website.Capturing the stock on hand and sending out IBT's. Cape Union Mart

Cape Union Mart is a very interesting company to work for, its desired corporate culture is very exciting and makes you want to be part of the growth of the business. The store's culture is a little bit different from what the company desires, but my relationship with co-workers and store management is a good relationship. Seens Cape Union Mart focuses on outdoor appearal and accessories, i have learnt a lot about the certain types of customers and the activities they enjoy.

Good company to work for and we get trainings regularly

i actually enjoy the work environment and have a good relationship with my coworkers as I'm a shift leader and I have learnt alot in these few years that I'm here and I actually enjoy working and helping customers needs as I also do repairs to help them and build a strong relationship ewe

Pros: We have a great chance to grow in the company as we provided with trainings and opportunities to apply at other positions that show up in the company at a whole.
Cons: It's a very good company to work for and creates chances for growth and the working environment is good and we keep leading our customers to the right direction

Been with the company for a quite some but havent grown

Excellent working condition but no growth as they tend to hire externally and you have to wait a long time to grow. The employees love what they do and are great at helping team members. The most challenging part is trying to grow but I enjoy working and meeting new people.

i think im ready to apply what i have learned elsewhere

I like working with people a lot but i think i can do a lot better in a bigget place where i get to deal with more than what i am doing now, i know i will be able to adjust because i was brought up in the city and not used to where i am now

Pros: Not that far from work
Cons: I dont think the communication is up to scratch
