Very interesting place to work in, with very interesting people to work with

I enjoy working at Huawei, my colleagues are very friendly and we always help one another, i have learnt how to fix computers, now i know different parts of the computer and how does it work.

Working experience

I'm currently in the maintenance department for Mtn kzn. The position is divided into two portions. Customers facing and field coordination. We have a open door policy where everyone in the team can speak their mind and treat every new thing as a learning opportunity

I am microwave Transmission Engineer at Huawei

I have learnt a lot about CPE and AP also learnt how to build customer relation and meeting their standards and specification. Also learn how to assist team onsite who need technical support to meet the requirements of the planning.

Pros: Learning how to cooperate or build customer relationship was the most big achievement for me and also assisting team onsite.

Good experience

Working at Huawei technology requires dedication and since every thing is goal oriented, one performance is measured by delivery, team work is essential and high professionalism and good work ethics is fundamental as it is a global company and multinational. For management and implementation, a proper scope has to lined out with day to day achievements clearly stated, i enjoy working with all people from all walks of life, customer facing as well as the team under my supervision, i have learnt to be open minded, and responsible for all outcomes, good and bad, because as a manager and project engineer, it is the sore duty to complete plan and see it through

Multi cultural environment and long hours

This is a multi cultural environment, where i get an opportunities to interact with various races and culture on a daily basis and the management is easily accessible. I get to be on standby 24/7 with long hours including weekends and public holidays.

I have 8 years experiance of testing fiber.

I have a good background of telecommunication, worked in the industry for 8 years to date in the Core Network FIELD' I worked for Telkom SA for 6.5 years doing transmission, microwave and maintenance.

Excellent learning curve

Working for Huawei Technologies is very good and challenging are the things i love. a typical working day involves, subcontractor audits on their warehouses, stock management and material management as well as the necessary logistics which is applicable. during my experience at Huawei Technologies , i have learnt about network configuration as well as supply chain / logistics and warehousing on a much broader scale within the cooperate environment.

Pros: good working environment to learn and to grow
Cons: the company does not provide benefits
