I have 8 years experiance of testing fiber.

I have a good background of telecommunication, worked in the industry for 8 years to date in the Core Network FIELD' I worked for Telkom SA for 6.5 years doing transmission, microwave and maintenance.

Pros: I started as tech officer now am supervising

Persistence and success

Attending interviews half of the day and making sure the best candidates are chosen to fulfill the positions, solving employee/employer disputes, Easily able to get along with project managers and directors and being loyal to them, Understanding what my staff needs in order to deliver efficiently and effectively and ensuring the environment is accommodating as well. Cultural difference and work ethics are a bit of a challenge, especially when working with people from another country following different laws. But we need to educate people of other countries and ensure you compliance for the good of the company.

Pros: Good exposure and character building
Cons: Long working hours and little or no opportunity for promotions

Very difficult workplace

Extremely very busy workplace I am good in team work always willing to assist and learn from others. Meeting face to face with many visitors coming into the office. Operating a chinese switchboard which is very unfriendly taking one call at a time and callers loosing temper

Pros: No room for promotion
Cons: Not easy to take leave either sick or annual

Excellent learning curve

I am a hard working young lady who enjoys her work and can relate well with colleagues and grabs every opportunity and make the most of it. I enjoy new opportunites

A company for flexible people who self manage

Absolute need one to be flexible, working hours can be anything from 4hrs to 18hrs. A lot of travelling (local and surrounding provinces). At this company a person that gives solutions is a commodity, not your time in the company or your academics

Pros: Conducive learning environment. Self managing culture
Cons: A lot of red tape...operations

I have workedq as a IT Support, Data com engineer, field engineer and a Project supply

I have worked as an IT support techician for 18'months. I was doing troublshoting and degnosise Computers software and hardware. I have learned about customer service. I have worked as a Datacom engineer for 12'month, field engineer optical transmission for 12'month at huawei Technology. I have leranti about Telecoms. I have also work as a project supply 10 month.

Cons: eight hours

Excellence work environment

I am an exceptionally motivated and enthusiastic telecoms Engineer with experience in fibre optic OSP floating, 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G micro wave wireless link, planning, telecoms civil work RF telecoms site supervision from survey to projects implementation and Rollout. I am convinced myself on my skill planning for my eagle eye and attention to detail as well as my ability to meet deadlines

For young people. Not suited for professionals with families.

Good to grow with a brand from the bottom. And see hard work pay off. I have worked in telecomms for 14 years and feel i need an industry change. And to do something different.
