A great well-rounded learning experience
It has been an excellent opportunity. I have learnt the general operation of business, from investments, risk, pricing and modeling perspectives. I am looking for a more specialized role, where I can get cracking on that specific role in business. I have dealt with mostly pricing and it has indeed been a complex opportunity. I am well pleased, but it is time to move on to greater heights. A typical day includes a morning daily pricing that ends at 11, on Monday and Tuesdays there is Buy/sell trades that are done in the morning. There are monthly deliverables,like lapses reports and pricing for the month. The least favorite part of the job is their inability to prioritize people issues. The environment isn't great when it comes to the working culture.

Nee challenge
I started with liberty on the first of October 2016. It's been an absolute pleasure to learn all about the products. This is an amazing job and so much to learn and grow. I get along well with my co-workers. We don't see each other on a daily basis though , because we go out and see clients. I enjoy meeting new people and travelling to destinations I've never been before

This has been a great but tough learning experience both on a professional and personal level
The career of a financial advisor is tough and the reward is less than the effort. A large part of the business is sales, and as important as sales is, without an already established network, sales can be very tough. Sales is an important aspect in life however, if you do not have a passion for the sale of risk insurance you are going to have a hard time as a financial advisor. I enjoy my work colleagues however not enough effort was out in from my manager to assist my understanding the workings of my work. I have learnt a lot about the way people interact and about pressure from the superiors. I have learnt that I enjoy engaging with people and that I need to be out of my comfort zone in order to grow. I am not one that likes to give up easily however I have been trying without success for some months now and am not finding success. I have realised that without the passion for risk insurance, the career as a financial advisor is not for you.

Patience
Learned a lot about telly sales Advisors not true full about commission payed. Telly sales for 5 advisors. Making and reschedule 5 advisors appointments. Most appointments made in one day was 18. I have learned patience and dedication Making as much appointments as possible at one day. ChallengING aspects of the job is to handle rude people over the phone

Learning experience
my typical day i get up in the morning, pray go to gym and hit the road. Get to work read my emails and confirm my appointments for the day. My co-workers and i are a team we help each other reach company goals, we always have weekly activity meetings where we discuss our targets and objectives. I meet clients sell and network. I have learned to become a team player as well as a leader in the office. i enjoy helping my clients. The most challenging aspects of the job is client retention as the industry i am in has a lot of claw backs

BE the Best than I can Be
I currently look after 25 Financial advisors that I mentor and support so that together we can be successful. My last position I interacted with the top 35 at Liberty. I have the respect of my Fellow co- workers and Management at Liberty. Thank you Keshir Gokul

Complaints summary
Everyday i am required to respond to customer complaints that come through the offices of the regulatory bodies, social media, executive escalation via our CEO's office as well as direct customers. When we respond we need to also comply with the TCF principles as well as the PPR mandate. We have different turn around times for different types of complaints, for instance we need to respond within 24 hours for hello peter as well as Facebook complaints.
Pros: It is a good company with excellent benefits for the employees

Good opportunity to enhance my skills
LIBERTY life is a great company to work for..I have learned a lot from it and the culture of the is awesome. I started at Liberty as Business Analyst, and that assisted me in understanding the business itself and it's requirements and how that can be transformed into IT. I have worked in team and have been a good team player.Due to the business being in Cape Town I was then moved to Testing which is what I am doing now. The most challenging aspect of being a Tester is when Developers don't agree that the is a bug in their code.
