Promoted to several HR positions,

I am working in a highly pressurized environment. My team and I embraces team work. I have learnt that building good work relationship and deliver work of high quality standard as per the Service Agreement creates a well balanced and harmonious work environment. I enjoy doing both transactional as well as transformational HR work streams. The most challenging part is the satisfaction of internal Clients.

Accountable, Excellent customer Service, Diverse.

my days are different as I deal with different people on a daily basis and different enquires. I assist practices and members with benefit confirmations and also claims enquiries. I also work as a claims support agent and I am able to reprocess accounts. I assist with membership enquiries from application, adding dependents and resignation. I enjoy helping people. the most challenging things is dealing with angry members or providers and this has also taught me to be a good listener and to empathize, taking ownership of the enquiry and doing my best to assist and get the matter solved.

Pros: Being 2nd in charge & been given the chance to be an Acting Team Leader
Cons: working under pressure and long hours

Extensive learning curve

Hectic days as we working around turn around times which promotes engagement of all team members to stick to your decision made. As an assessor it promotes application of medical background and experience

Excellent Learning Curve

-On a day to day basis there is liaising with customers and service providers, telephonically, and Team Leaders/Managers. When needed. -There has been a platonic relationship with management allowing to open doors for responsibilities, trust and self management -flexibility and attributes leading to growth such as self management, managerial skills. -There are, however, days when service providers and customers can be difficult and/or the work load can be more than overwhelming. Team Leaders/Management is there to assist and to provide good service to our customers till a point you have matured into the role. -With may requirements to accomplish and targets to reach such correspondence, processing claims - handling tariffs, etc. It is safe to say, one becomes multi-skilled.

Organisational Culture and Challenges

I working in a very challenging environment, that have continuous changes which I have to implement. Sometimes it is not easy to work with the Managers that are hard to convince in buying-in the changes, Managers that are not aware of the technological advancements and psychological effects thereof. However I am working with a very supportive team that ensures that we provide valuable support to our Business Partners and are being trusted by our client. What I enjoy the most is the achievement of my HR objectives and honoring of my service level agreement with the client.

Job Functions: To ensure that a good level of understanding and knowledge of organizations ,products and services, which is improved and maintained at all times, ensuring that customer queries can be dealt with accurately and appropriately and supported by the department Product Knowledge of Gems Business Unit Members/Service providers and 3rd party live call enquiries Call queries , investigations , claims queries, escalation and resolution queries

The company is great to work for. Just unfortunately they don't have an open policy whereby they do not make the employees aware of how the company in struggling financially.

It was a learning curve

Working at Metropolitan health taught me a lot more about customer centric, respect ,positive attitude towards my colleagues as well as our clients at large . I am really pleased that I worked for this company .all of opportunistic

Pros: bursaries, learnerships were given out ,given a chance to pursue my studies
