Good company to work for
we work a normal 8 hour shift, no overtime except for one Saturday. I have an excellent working relationship with my co-workers. I had the opportunity to act as a Team Leader for 6 months and I have leant a lot like how to be a good leader to different people with different characters. I have enjoyed learning new things everyday and have enjoyed our team meeting and team buildings most and have realized over the years that people do not understand how their medical aid works and I had to explain and teach them and at the end of the day instilled knowledge on the next person, that was what I also enjoyed knowing I have made a difference in someone's life most challenges I have come across would be to tell members why an account will not be paid as I work for the medical aid industry.

My expectations not met as it stands now
I was expecting to grow on the financial ladder since I am dealing with health related queries and bringing my Nursing skills acquired during my nursing days to count in my favor and I was expecting a growth from my take home of R 11500
Pros: it more of a keep holding up situation until something better comes

Company is perfect has no cproblems excpect salry
working for metropolitan one needs to be patient, calm, good listening skills, problem solving skills and multy task as you on call you may have to solve an account and not keeping a person for hold for 30seconds, typical work day would be not having able to solve a query for member as you need to await for another department , what I have learned telephone etiquettes , being charge of a situation and being able o spot cases that require agent assistance and resolving on 1st call the challenging part is speaking to people with hearing problem and old extremely old people as you have to be extremely patient and be slow of explanation

I love working with people , also enjoy learning new things
My full names is zikhona Hlangwana, I currently live in joe slovo milnerton. I have worked in a call centers for sometime, most of my experience is in the health department as I worked for medical aid business units. I enjoy working in a call center because I have gained wonderful skills for customer services,I'm also client centered I love new challenges, I can adapt very quickly

Atypical work day involves assisting my agents with escalations
I am a Team Player and i like assisting my co-workers were possible. I have learnt a lot from my worked because i have worked in i different departments like document processing department, Claims Department etc
Pros: Attended internal training for client services and claims school which helped me a lot to do my duties.
Cons: We have two offices growth happens mostly in our Cape Town offices and currently i dont want to move to Cape Town

Daily learning environment
I love being part of the team that makes sure that Excellent quality is produced. I learn everyday that testing needs focus and pay attention to every little detail. and to work well under pressure.I work in a Team that works with agile Methodology, every second week we print plan.every morning we do daily check in. I love working with people and relying on each other for growth and learning.

Excellent leaning curve
My daily duties entail the Service of our clients from requesting letters to reprocessing account or to transfer them to another department. I am the same person everyday and I love working with all kinds of people. I came to the company with minimum experience in customer service, correspondence and claims but I have been given the training, so I am equipped and etiquette to do my daily duties. I have daily challenges in my Job which I do not like, I feel that our members should get an immediate response when they call in and not to escalate queries but to deal with it at the time. Feedback on escalations is not the set times as promised and then we sit with an Irate client which is not a happy ending for the client.
