Excellent learning curve

I was the only receiving manager,. You have to start the day5 by sending an end of day report before going anything on the system. Receive deliveries, capturing invoices, responsible for good returns for suppliers

A typical day at work

I mostly have to work on the floor and merchandise, make sales and ring up customers purchased items. Most of the time I would assist the manager or assistant manager with administrative duties if they are uncertain because I have more knowledge.

Excellent

Customer service is the most important thing that I learned and working with lot of people and I learned to talk different languages with customers. Customers came first in my job. I learned to deal with my stress after work not in front of customer. I learned to be calm and collected in front of my customers and deal with my colleagues in a right way and to be faithful at work and be on time always

Great environment to to work

prospecting ,we promoting various brands to shoppers,Providing orientation&Problem solving to technical products, gathering some feedback, it was a complex task but as a team we managed to prosper the interesting part of the job was Meeting new people and strictly Maximizing Sales.

Pros: it was a great opportunity to grow,
Cons: minimum working hours.

Great start and retail experience

Retail is a good start as an unexperienced person, its where you find yourself, whether you can work with people or not, can be a team player or not. It is really great and you meet different people everyday with different attitudes but you have to stick to being professional and being yourself at all times

This company is an excellent company I've learned a lot from it

I have learned a lot from this company...the managers encourage you to work hard and to work as a team to archive companies goals...they also give you an opportunity to grow within the company.the most interesting part about the company is that they also hire disabled people,and they hire any race/gender they give everyone equal opportunity.The most challenging part was that we working long hours,but that was not a problem because u get rewarded for your hard word and commitment.. I really enjoyed working here I can rate it as one of the best companies around

Not good

Me and my colleagues work very hard to put the shop together, we are always on time, but the problem is that pick n pay company is now cutting hours for us, and you would find that ur working 24 hours a week and only to find that month end your earnings are very low that you cant even pay ur debts, pick n pay is a good company and I'm a very hard working person who put more effort to her task, I also don't mind to work more hours.

Brilliant Company, excellent brand

Well known and established company. Living their brands and success is the drive of each employee. I have learnt a great deal in the FMCG and Retail industry, within a major role player. Even though relatively new in the company, I have a great mentor with the same ambition in life, as myself.
