I have worked in the SANDF's logistics environment for 15 years in various capacities. Excellent work relationships. I have had the opportunity to work in various roles. Good reporting structures. Bad response times to critical issues.

Stepping stone

It has been realy great working experience, it's just that doing the same thing every day tends to become less challenging and that leads to one feeling less productive and positive. The work was supposed to be a stepping stone for my future but, there has not been a lot of growth.

Pros: The pros are that you get to explore a lot about yourself through the experiences that we go through
Cons: Normal working hours from 8- to 4

It taught me a lot about discipline and life and hard work

Its a lovely and rare experience to work for the South African National Defense Force. you get to learn how to be a leader and think of others and protect them too as you as if you procting your own life

Pros: definately a must have experience for everyone

Not a great department

Work days areIf you arebad. Salary is good. Co-workers are dumb. Promotions are scarce. Many oppotunities to do courses. Organisation does not care about your family needs.

Growth

I have joined the Army in 2005.till today i hv not received any promotion. I work hard daily but with no one noticing. I think its because we're too many

Am maintaining BK117 helicopter as an avionic member . I do fault findings, services and compass swing. As i am qualified as an aircraft instrument mechanic in year 2014 01 of may

Wonderful experience

Working for the sandf was a great learning curve and a new experience to the world of mechanical engineering . I have enjoyed both theory and practical lessons.working with different cars engine everyday. I met different people that I learned alot from .

Ability to work under pressure

I am a good team player and also willing to work abnormal hours. I have been working as an admin clerk for years now and under stand the importance of having everything organised and kept in a good condition. The thing that makes me unique is the fact that i have good qualities to handle difficult customers and colluegues in a proffessional manner. I am always willing to learn and help.
