A conducive environment of learning.
Working in the SANDF has been a great experience for me as it has taught me discipline and equipped me with knowledge in the HR section. The relationship I have with my colleagues is amazing as they make my day at work more easier as I am able to relate with them. I have learnt more about human resources management and enjoy working with people and engaging with them. The most challenging aspect has to be having to solve issues that caused many years ago, while ensuring that my work is up to date
Pros: Open for learning
Cons: Backlog

Finding my purpose
The SANDF has taught me a lot, not only about soldiering but also about myself, my level of tolerance, self discipline, and how immense my capabilities are. Through this same organisation I learnt to tolerate different personalities and traits, Yet again The most challenging thing I have to accept is that i now belong to the army, family time/ vacations are a luxury, my job demands that I move from one province to the other sometimes even out of state.
Pros: Organisation has a lot of benefits
Cons: I don't see innovation

Dynamic and informative administration wise
It is too military and the fact that civil have their independent code of conduct is often forgotten at times and o my when thers no financial implications you are remembered as an employee. Regardless of being in hospital you are still regarded to be on sick leave
Pros: Medical aid
Cons: Specific medical aid of their choice

Empowering myself and fellow colleagues with knowledge. I enjoy time spend with team members when performing tasks away from home.I've learned alot over the years in the training, procurement, research and development, project development and management areas.
Pros: Great opportunity to enhance the capabilities that I'm currently leading.
Cons: The organisation not geared for it.

Good learning experience
It is a challenging job which keeps you on your toes. The only problem was out dated systems. It was a large responsibility which kept it interesting. The low salary increments were disturbing as not all departments within the organisation were compensated equally. I loved the fact that I got to manage a very diverse group of people on a daily basis. I was proud to have served my country so well for so long, but now its time for a new challenge.
Pros: Broad knowledge and exposure
Cons: Heavy workload with little recognition

Average
I coordinate well with colleagues. The experiential curve is rather too slow a journey for engineers but it's worth the wait. The most challenging part is to execute especially when the wrong instructions are given out to me. At times it's difficult to associate Engineering with combat- and makes it very much challenging. I enjoy most when there are projects, able to to the project specification. I am looking forward to learning more within the I industry. Thank you
Pros: Hard work visibly
Cons: Night work ( regimental guard duties)

Never trust anyone except one on your team
I was working under the investigation and analysis collection and vetting field worker and during my experience I enjoyed the way thing were done in terms of the strictness and professional behaviour towards my fellow employees, I have learnt not to trust easily when someone tells you something without evidence or proof, discipline is the most valuable characteristics within the military force. the challenging aspects of my job was deployments because I couldn't handle the climate transformations
Pros: only promoted when you pass your courses
Cons: the working hours is strictly 24 hours per day
