Demotivating

There's a good relationship between co-workers. We work under limited resources but expected to be productive. I've learnt the use of basic hand tools and discipline as it is the most important thing in SAPS. I'm not challenged at all as it the repeatativ work everyday.

Pros: No possible growth for a technical minded person
Cons: None

Learning and gaining lot of experience

Working extra hours. Going extra mile by assisting other offices .meeting diffent people with different background and cultures. To treat the community with respect and always listen attentively and ensure that the customer is satisfied at all times. To know Batho Pele principle and practice it.

Laboratory analyst in the forensic field and have been exposed to water quality management

I have acquired a BSc degree in microbiology and biochemistry as well as an honors degree in aquaculture. My project was about the effects of sewage effluent on the river were I managed to aquire sampling and analyzing skills and also did a lot of scientific report writing. I am looking for an organization where I will be able to add my attributes concerning research and laboratory management.

Pros: Challenging and lots of research
Cons: More than 8 hours and sometimes on weekends

capturing leave applications in saps 26 registering leave applications on the saps 26 administer absenteeism registers filling of saps documentations administer and register grivances capturing of grivances on the systems administer section 21 Report(Employment equity) registers. administer & monitor misconducts/ disciplinary procedures. administer training programmes of incumbents liason with the department head for training interventions. conducting meetings for the station. administers all the saps registers. administer personal files of employees. monitor labour turnovers applications of overtime. Ensuring the implimentation of the departmental procedures are abide by all employees. organising training needs for the employees. administer work studies of incumbents. .

Excellent learning curve

my previous work was very good,i was filling, answering office calls and message taking.my relationship with co-workers was very interesting because we worked as a team. most of them were my mentors,influencing and encouraging me positively.Ive gain so much skills and time management and confidence is what i have gained also networking.

Cons: less chance to get permanant position

Taking on a challenge

Im a sergeant fir the last 7 years and dont see any room for growth. I have done alot of courses to enhance myself in the SAPS enviroment, but i just dont get promotion. I am also a qualified trained detective and also did a couple of detective courses to do my work effectively to the requirements stipulated. The just dont seem like ut can provide me a challenge anymore but you have carry 1 rank for almost 11 to 13 years before standing a chance to promoted to the nezt challenge in your ability. So please consider my application thoughtfully. Thank you in anticipation.

Pros: I like to push myself to limits best to my abilities.
Cons: Not to be given a chance to take on a challenge.

Exellent working experience to start learing

A typical working day started at to open all the new letters that they have received and to give it to the different offices. We had a good communication between co-workers and visitors and officers that came to the office. I have learned to listen with compassion when people speak and have respect for other. I have enjoy the atmosphere of the positive attitude the people had in the office. To learn new things every day was the most challenging for me and I did enjoy it

Pros: If you work hard you can be promote for a higher position
Cons: Great working hours
