Working at saps

The company is one of the large government department and it is quite fun to work at but has a lot of responsibilities. I'm still a junior but my post requires a lot of dedication and commitment. study of criminals and profiling is one of the exciting things one gets to do and it is interesting. though it is quite stress full due to high crime in south Africa it gives a lot of knowledge to me. I'm quite a fast leaner and enjoy working with teams.

Great public service performed

Dear sir/madam. I am an experienced Manager, both in the Operational and Instructor/Facilitation field at National level within the Safety and Security (high risk) environment. I have the knowledge, skills and qualifications as a Safety and Security supervisor, and have managed teams, platoons and numerous huge domestic events from a National perspective. I was responsible (and more importantly accountable) for capturing and analyzing data into the online intelligence software and aid in guiding the department on how crime analysis products should be used to combat crime and disorder problems within the environment. I will be an asset to your company and I will contribute hugely within company policies and standard operating procedures.

Good working experience and working hours. Diversity issues Good place to grow given the opportunity. Friendly people. Learn more as time goes by. Can be frustrating when you don't have control over situations

I learned a lot while working as a police officer

I believe in rule but rules are bound to be broken and therefore I believe no one is perfect I treat everyone with respect and my office door is always open when you need guidance Everyone learns so instead of judging I help gladly

Pros: I like it when all of my colleagues get along,the best part of my day is when I know we've achieved something,I believe in results and only good results,with what I've learned from SAPS security and combating crime can be challenging but by working together I learned that we can combat it
Cons: I always said im not an office police officer so when my job is not done I'll work even if it means staying behind an hour or two

Great experience and challenges every day

My work is challenging as any decision that i make soon or late i have to give a clear justifications of it and been able to work on my own without any supervision from the management or superior, that gives me a confident and taught me a self decipline and do my duties as required

Learning curve

I have learnt a lot regarding internal audit and working with different peoplein a respectable manner.i also have learnt that every otganisatipn has its vision and mission. Working at SAPS has taught me about the different levels. The most challenging aspect is working at the stations.i also have seen the cells for the first time in my life.

Good working environment

I have good working relations with my fellow colleagues and have learnt how dilegently you need to be within this organization. Discipline, dedication and hard work is one of the corner stone and most importanat quality needed to be effective in this organization. I enjoy being productive at all times and have a passion for learning new work. Short noticed deadlines are the most challenging aspect of the job but with careful observations i have learned on how to prioritize my work to be more efficient and effective.

Learning curve

I'm a hard worker who likes to work as a team. I adapt easily to new environment. I like solving problems and dealing with grievances. I can work under pressure and with different people
