A conducive environment to expand knowledge
In my normal working day i manage projects, monitor and evaluate progress, generate report, liaise with supply chain for service providers. i have learnt to engage with different stakeholders as well as project management skills. The fulfilling part of my job is grooming SMMEs into a developmental stage were they can compete with other larger companies. The most challenging aspect is dealing with ever changing community dynamics.

Excellent approaches
Sasol has great opportunities for growth, is an excellent company to work for, even though the tax bracket and medical aid are a bit too high, they have one of the best medical aids in the country. The company has a beautiful diverse culture which includes everybody, they are always striving to remain relevant with current affairs as well as latest technology,. The hours are standard as per employment act, and the benefits are just as excellent with 6 months paid maternity leave for new mothers.

I feel that my salary is not enough
i feel that my salary is not enough and the company should look into it. they drive cost savings and we comply with it and they still not adjusting salaries

Excellent learning curve
I could be paid a lot more as I’m doing work for 2 people. It’s a long of work with long hours and without a great structure to get the work done. I do love the company as I have worked for it before and had a great time in that department.

Excellent learning curve
Nice environment to work in especially in terms of development and experience. A place that caters for everyone regardless of their cultural background. I liked the fact that tasks always challenging but doable.

World class experience
Sasol is a huge organization that has got so many facets. From research and development to process chemistry support, the company offers it all. It is a matter of public record that they make chemicals ranging from fuel, to wax, polymers and fertilizers. My internship with them has been truly remarkable and I have learned a whole lot about the various chemicals from synthesis and how to comply to environmental compliance when dealing with them. The co-workers are results driven with a culture of people, diversity and accountability. Everyone plays their part and ensures that the target goals are met for the greater good of the organization. I enjoyed learning different analytical techniques and also learning about how everyday products are made. The most challenging aspect of the job was learning agility due to the dynamic nature of the program which required that we rotate to various aspects of the business and learn as much as possibly can.
