My Experience in the Banking Sector

I work from 7:30am till 4:00pm Monday to Friday I work with Attorneys, Branch Network and Business Suites (sending out instructions for the Registration and Cancellation of Bonds documents) I have a family here at Standard Bank, that's how I see my colleagues, we work well together. Over the 7 years i have learnt a lot about the Business/Banking Environment: Customer first, the importance of time management, loyalty, integrity, communication and always giving feedback to our customers, doing things right the first time (Accuracy) and loving what you do (enjoying my work) I have the fact that my job keeps me on my toes and that i learn something new everyday. Meeting turn around times and making sure that the customer is happy is the toughest challenge but it is done as expected and more.

Pros: Moving around the department and learn so many other duties in Collateral.
Cons: Working during my lunch breaks and Saturdays to meet turn times and complete all my duties in time.

I am a fast learner and a hard worker

I have been working at Standard bank since 2002 . I have mainly been exposed to the fraud areas. I have been part of arranging several events for the teams , processing reward vouchers for team members who have excelled in their jobs.

Pros: Great company to work for

Customer is always important

Im a very easy and understanding person. Always willing to new ideas and able to work under pressure. I am a very good listener and always make sure that the customer doea not leave premises not happy. Always full of amile and sence of humour.

Pros: Taxi ranks. Hospitals etc. Basically in govetnment premises.
Cons: I dont have any problem with long hours as long as the clients are served.

Excellent learning

I WAS WORKING SUNDAY TO SUNDAY FLEXIBLE HOURS,I LEARNED HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS, ALWAYS PUT A SMILE TO THE CUSTOMERS AND ASK IF THEY ARE SATISFIED.. I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME WITH MY CO-WORKERS IF SOMEONE DON'T UNDERSTAND WE HELP EACH OTHER WE SUPPORTED EACH OTHER INTO OUR WORK. I WAS ENJOY MY JOB BECAUSE ALWAYS I WAS MEETING NEW PEOPLE AND LEARN EVERYDAY.. THE ONLY CHALLENGE I HAD IS WHEN THE SYSTEM IS SLOW AND CUSTOMERS WAIT FOR SO LONG..

My BA Journey

Great environment, friendly people and nice office space. Work 8 hours a day Monday to Friday. I get along with most of my colleagues. I jave acquired a lot of skills and continue to learn something new every single day. I enjoy the work environment, themprojects I work on and working with the people in my team. Meeting all the stakeholders expectations.

Excellent learning curve

Everyday is hectic and you cannot prepare for it. I have a great relationship with my cousin workers. My job has become monotonous because there's no room for improvement and I have to do the same thing everyday. I like to be given the opportunity to learn new things over time. The most challenging aspect is selling products to customers. The easiest is handling cash as I have years of experience with cash.

Amazing Company to work for

Working at Standard Bank gives one a very big sight on how much it takes to be successful personally and professionally and i have learned a lot about my own capabilities and how i can be a better person in business making decisions.Day to day is always full of change and its the exciting part and there is always training and the co-workers are amazing

I have to more paitent and listen to customer Be calm and serve client with urgency and accuracy . learned to be vigilant at the Times and follow procedures and policy at the Times Career development laise within you

Consistent contributor to the company

good working conditions with great colleages and learning everyday about service delivery to customers and enjoy seeing the customer happy and the challenging staff is too much meeting and seating in office not being able to hunt and meet customers
