Excellent learning curve
Working at the Company where I'm currently is good, because you interact with people from different levels of knowledge. My colleagues are good, I like seen them when I come to work, we have boundaries on our relationships that we have to respect. I have learnt how to detect fraud, how to analyze transactions and when a customer is lying, I also learnt how to see if a certain Company is fraudulent or not. I enjoy the freedom that is given to us, because we adults and we do not have to be treated like kids. The most challenging aspect of my job is working at night, I do not like working at night.

Excellent growth oppertunity
I worked for standard bank for over 10 years.It was a awesome experience.I learned so much and feel I am a asset to my new employment.I resigned in 2015 due to the fact that we worked flexi hours including night shift.I built wonderful relashionships internally as well as externally.Work was hectic with deadlines to meet,productivity to meet,keeping customers happy but worthwhile.Pressure was high at cut off time but I learned how to handle pressure extremely well.

Working at Standard Bank
I have worked at Standard Bank for almost 5 years, during this time I have learned so much around customer service. I have received a number of compliments from customers and co workers even from management for the great customer service I give. I dealt with social media complaints, normal cash out queries, accounts reconciliation and merchant relationship. What I found challenging about my job was when I had to deliver "not so good" news to the customer when I failed to resolve their query due to other factors beyond my control. I enjoyed it when I was able to fully deliver to the customer and even beyond their expectations.
Pros: The benefits are great, working hours manageable

Learning Environment
Standard bank is a good place to learn because we have many department here that do different things. I learn alot here and am willing to show or implement what i have learn here to other people. I start work at 7am to 4pm and its a very nice hours to work and relax. My relationship with my co-workers is very good because at our team we like family that care for each other. I have learn that share what you have to others and also respect everyone with judging. I enjoy every moment here stand-ups meeting, sometimes we have coffee time to talk, celebrate every good moment that we have as a team. The challenge aspect i have was at the first of my programme because i didn't know the language but now i am enjoying.

Challenging and exciting
I have learned a lot working for standard bank. In the past I actually convinced myself that i am not good working with numbers but working for standard bank changed it, balancing my till everyday is always a miracle as we all say, its a nerve racking process because you can either be be on a surplus or deficient, which is why its crucial to be vigilant at all times. We close the branch at 3:30 every day but most days we can be at the bank till 18:00pm. Working in teams is like everyday life. My co workers are very helpful and we make sure that we meet sales target on a daily basis. The customers are different in all ages. I've learned to be patient and assertive.

Great for a while
Complex challenges to solve. Challenges to navigate the organization and find someone who knows what the answer is and challenging to get people to take ownership. Lack of accountability. Lots of training opportunities. Each department has a different culture. The leadership are not as strong as I would like. Great salary and perks.

My Standard bank journey
Working 8 hours per day. I am in a big department but my team consists of 9 people. My department ptomots a great employee culture and we all get along. I get along with 85% of the people. Things I enjoy most is working with my colleagues becsuse we are a team we show each other love and support. The office environment is open plan cubicles. I have learned a lot and acquired new skill sets. The most challenging aspect was being able to multitask, meet tight deaflines and working in a very huge organisation.
