Good learning experience but earn below market related
people are very friendly and provides a conducive atmosphere to do work. People play hard and work hard. It is easy to make friends and network. The one thing challenging about working in the Investment bank is nepotism and unfair representation within senior executives. It is even more challenging in this environment. You have to have a thick skin.

Good environment to learn
Well the environment is very friendly so is the stuff. Meetings in the morning before 9am doors open. I always had to push myself to learn beyond my spectrum so to be able to assist clients who come to the office asking something irrelevant to what I do. I enjoyed pushing myself, working there made me more interested in being a secretary.

Highly challenging work and financial management experience
Typical work day is basically me preparing financial statements for my manager to review, this is to help check or be informed about the various cost or revenue various changes happening in the business.
Pros: A wonderful platform to learn about the fundamentals of business, finance and economic impacts on wealth and investment factors.

Excellent Learning Curve
I'm looking for a challenging work and more than willing to be in a new environment for development.I have worked for standard bank as a Customer Service Consultant for 4years full and therefore gained experience in the industry,that is where my skills were fully utilised.. Dealing with hard clients and managing to resolve customer enquiries helped me develop the passion of working with clients.
Pros: Great opportunity to liaise with clients.

Standardbank
Very busy environment. We serve at least 28 countries across africa and the United Kingdom. Its is a huge learning curve and very diverse. The culture and atmosphere in the bank is great. I enjoy working with the people.
