A good learning experience
It has been a great and learning experience working at my company. The environment is good and the people are very focused and dedicated to their jobs. I have a good relationship with my co-workers and they have been supportive and helpful to me. I have learned a lot of things, I have been in the Standards division, I have learned about standards and the development of Standards. In the Methodology division I have learned about methodologies used in selecting samples, segmentation, weighting and how to do estimations using SAS.
Pros: Great learning opportunity
Cons: There are no job opening in the company at the moment

Good start
My job is to disseminate data . i go through my emails everyday to provide our stakeholders with the requested data. research about stats SA products and advice people on how to use our data for evidence based decision. I have a very good relationship with my coworkers because i treat them with respect. i have learnt so much in this organisation for example how to interact with stakeholders, how to promote stats SA products and how to put people first as a public servant. I enjoy to play around numbers, to be able to understand numbers language or what is exactly behind numbers. The most challenging aspects of my job is when i come across difficult stakeholders, but i learnt how to handle them.

Great hard worker.
I'm Sondo Mphela, a 27 year old african female. Graduate from University of Limpopo holding Bsc Computational and Mathematical sciences, majors are Statistics and Mathematical sciences. I am a hardworking individual who is very focused and humbled. I have less that two years of experience within statistical world from Statistics South Africa.

Great learning experience
As an intern I was appointed a mentor who taught me a lot regarding National Accounts. On a typical working day I have attend to any duty that she delegates which includes updating data received from National Treasury and other sources,to check whether our calculated estimates are correct and prepare any form of analysis that might be requested from the Chief Director regarding the calculated estimates.On a social perspective I have learned to be adaptive to a working environment which was totally new to me. I have met people whom I have formed friendships with and learned a lot from. What I enjoy most about this job is the challenges that it brings because this allows me to solve problems that may arise by using my creativity and analytical thinking.The most challenging aspects is that sometimes there are discrepancies that may lie within the calculations, which might take longer than expected to identify.

System of fast capturing, problem solving and stress management
I have learned how to work with other people as a team, and also work in an open plan area to be able to assist each other. Challenges was that system was problematic sometimes and did meet target on time and had to work long hours for a day work . But co-workers were able to assist in different ways as well as management.

Excellent experience in analysis and conductiong survey
My work includes assesing the quality of data for the producing agency using a framework called South African statistical quality assessement framework.I have a good relationship with my co-workers.I have learnt a lot interms of analysis using SAS, Moscrosoft office and SupperCross. I enjoy working with different sector department and producing agency as any producing agency have to be assessed by our divison for quality of the statistics
Pros: be exposed in different kinds of work as we are working with diferrent stakeholders

A good work experience
A great working environment with experienced co-workers. Working hours are fantastic, and I enjoyed the atmosphere there especially during lunch time, one gets refreshed before getting back to work. The challenging part is when a client is rude to you but with training given, I managed to handle all the challenges.

Excellent customer service
I have learned lot of things in Stats like how to deal with difficult customer, Customer care and work as a team, strive for excellent and respect for individual. I have enjoy calling clients and giving the best report to my supervisor everyday.

Learned a lot from my team and my manager
I’m highly motivated Statistics and Operations Research graduate who is able to manipulate, analyze data and write reports. A high performing individual, demonstrating drive, enthusiasm and initiative, with the ability to work well under pressure, consistently delivering quickly and accurately and able to prioritize to ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining a high standard of analysis and insight. I have experience in report writing, analysis, data manipulation, data capturing, data collection, preparation of presentation slides, quality assurance and researching. I’m currently looking for a suitable positions with a company that offers long term career prospects.
