Excellent learning curve
Controlling the switchboard and having to manage admin at the same time keeps you busy thee entire day. Everyone at Statistics S.A is like a family .i have learnt so much being in the office industry .I enjoy doing the admin work .When you have to handle difficult clients on the phone.

Building a solid foundation for a successful career.
My experience has given me the confidence needed to succeed in a competitive environment, with high pressure deadlines, copious research and the need to constantly liaise with different but interdependent departments in a company.

I have learnt that you need to be sure and bold of the work you doing
I am a very dedicated person to what I do and I love working with people who respect their line of work and I like work that will challenge my knowledge capacity, so that I may be able to learn more from the work that I do.
Pros: It's good and great to put your whole effort to the job that you do because when you do it thoroughly you might get good results that might lead to your promotion
Cons: You must put extra effort on your work and I usually worked 8 hours but when my work is plenty, I would put extra hours so that I may finish

Excellent experience
Matrix and also National certificate in Accommodation services. I'm no longer working the contract ended .I do have working experience. I also work for IEC part time as a ballots box issue.I'm a hard worker ,fast learner ,well organized and friendly.
Pros: I learned somuch ,how to work with people be dedicated to the job

Working as student mentor at Tshwane University of Technology in providing mentor-ship for first year students during orientation, and providing academic assistant in IT related subjects to ensure that hardworking senor students excel their academics as well as provide the advice and skills on how to tackle difficult modules Performing duties as IT/Remote Desktop Support Technician at Statistics South Africa by solving a logged calls within the Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) to ensure business continuity, handling delivery of IT equipment from the supplier to the organisations and ensure that the procurement procedures is done properly as well as ordering of computer components for upgrading users devices.

I can simplify complex data into an easy understandable format.
I am academically qualified Statistician (Data Analyst) and Economist, currently working at Statistics South Africa as a Statistician (Data Analyst). My interest and strength lies on Data collection, Data cleaning, Analysisng data of different forms (National Accounts, Labour Force Survey, General Household Survey, Consumer Price Index, Financial Data, Big data etc.) , monitoring survey projects, compiling researches and developing Statistical/Econometrics models which bring better understanding of data analysis which is used as a proxy for business decision making. I am a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal and conflict-management skills. I would like to work in an organization where I can utilise my current work experiences and my qualifications of Statistics, Economics and data analysis on daily basis. I aim to become a senior Statistician/Data Scientist or researcher of a well-reputed organization in the near future.

Data manipulation
I operate at different levels of the survey/statistical value chain, from planning (stakeholder consultation, questionnaire design etc.), data collection (desktop research and actual fieldwork), data processing (maintaining internal capturing systems), data analysis and report writing (or report using presentations) on several industries in the south African economy such as Mining, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, agriculture to mention a few. I also train staff members including interns on research/survey methodology.
Pros: Excellent insight on different industries operating in the economy

The great learning curve
Working at statistics SA has given me a opportunity and exposure to data engineering I have established a great working relationship with my colleagues in a sense that they always ask me to do things for them and I faithfully do and deliver on time, this is to say I am reliable. I have learned to do any kind of work no mater how difficult, small or big it is because at the end you get to be exposed and gain experience. The most challenging aspect of the Job is that there is lot of work to do but there is no enough staff to do it which leaves me with having to do work of three people that are vacant and the department has frozen the posts.but still work progresses and I am faithfully delivering.
Pros: Great opportunity to learn different design of what could have been done by others.
Cons: More tasks to do in a short space of time.
