Fast pace working environment
It is a fast pace environment characterized by long working hours depending on the circumstances. I'm surrounded by dedicated and open minded colleagues who are always willing to assist where it is necessary. I had gained multiple skills in descriptive statistics analysis, SAS programming syntax, questionnaire design and data collection. I mostly enjoy displaying data in an understandable format like cross tabulation, producing graph and writing a report. The most challenging aspects of the job is to convince the household and respondents or target audience to participate on the surveys and not getting data on time to compile a statistical report.

Handling incoming Calls regarding Census related queries
Statistic South Africa its a big company where i got to learn so much thing that i didn't know off and has improve my skills in call center and i enjoy working with the team so much as i managed to know and understand other people better and that two hands are better off one and the system we using its user friendly
Pros: Working on CS 2016 was a greet opportunity for me as i have learn a lot
Cons: We were working normal hours from 08:00 to 16:00

Statssa is a good departmental organization with good managers who delegates and gave me good platform to change theoretically intro practical experience.

The great learning curve
Working at statistics SA has given me a opportunity and exposure to data engineering I have established a great working relationship with my colleagues in a sense that they always ask me to do things for them and I faithfully do and deliver on time, this is to say I am reliable. I have learned to do any kind of work no mater how difficult, small or big it is because at the end you get to be exposed and gain experience. The most challenging aspect of the Job is that there is lot of work to do but there is no enough staff to do it which leaves me with having to do work of three people that are vacant and the department has frozen the posts.but still work progresses and I am faithfully delivering.
Pros: Great opportunity to learn different design of what could have been done by others.
Cons: More tasks to do in a short space of time.

Great exposure
I have learnt a lot from working at Stats SA and I wouldn't have asked for a better place to build my professional profile. I have gained experience and being exposed to different divisions within the organisation and I know a little about survey areas and how they work, to the dissemination part of the organisation.I enjoy interacting with different people and bouncing different ideas and learning a lot. I work well with my colleagues since I am a very bubbly person.
Pros: Good environment to work in especially as a statistician.
Cons: No growth because all post have been frozen.

Exellent learning curve
My work involves lot of research. We work as teams on many project to achieve the department goals. People are typically helpful if you ask them relevant questions. I enjoy doing the research and analysis of the data collected.

Outstanding environment for learning, and applying your own interests and abilities
It’s an exciting IT section that manages severs and data center, which you cannot become productive or mean daily objectives without proper coordination with team members, since responsibility is shared amongst peers. It’s so challenging that you get to know how important organizational data is, and our duty is to protect data at large.
Pros: Its a great opportunity to startup a career, as a learning curve to strengthen skills and abilities

Excellent learning institution
My company is cutting edge organisation which believes in developing employees and I love working with different people from different background. My typical work day: To collect financial and non-financial information from all public sector institutions in RSA. Perform in depth analysis. Compile quarterly and annual statistical releases. Prepare presentation and clearance documents for top management and present the results to external and internal stakeholder. My day to day activities is challenging as we depend on respondent to supply information data if they do not supply it on time, I have to leave everything in the office and help them so not to miss my deadline. Working in an office environment means having to deal with all different kinds of people; and sometimes getting along with all of them can be a bit of a challenge, and when people are hard to deal with, it can lead to slower productivity and missed deadlines. I have a good working relationship with my colleagues and my superiors.

The advertisement fits my profile in terms of the key responsibilities outlined.ive been working in the Department of Statistics South Africa where my main duties were to manage the day to day activities of the project one of the biggest project in Statistics SA. . I have national diploma in office management and technology (TUT), Certificate in Project Management, Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation, Business Writing and currently studying towards completing my B-Tech in Project Management with TUT and studying Information and Technology with Unisa. I have a 7 years experience in project management, Monitoring and Evaluation, training, administration and coordination management. This position is a good opportunity for me to develop my skills. I knows I have a personal drive commitment and can do attitude. I know I have the capacity and determination to the job and where I am unable I enable myself because I believe in culture of continuous learning.
