Good customer relations and a team player
On a typical workday i start with going through my emails and attending the meetings. This helps me to get to plan the day ahead, getting my ducks in a row in the form of scheduling the sub-tasks. I also ensure that the resources and tools are available and accessible before starting the day's task/project. With almost 10 years of experience there is so much that i have learnt ever since i started working for the company. That includes amongst other things design, project and product management, quality management, engineering processes etc. I enjoy attending meetings wherein we conceptualise the designs, be it the locomotive, trucks and coaches. Furthermore,i like the part where we plan, strategise and do the scope of work for the product we planning to design and how this is going to be monitored and controlled.

Knowing new environment eg marine, light house, dredging and docking.
The relationship with my co-workers is very good. I have learnt about the Ports and what they have to offer. Enjoy working with variety of people eg Contractors. What is challenging on my job some KPIs are not clearly defined.
Pros: becoming the lead planner
Cons: spending more time in the planes for attending meetings.

Specialist Safety and Security
Transnet is a very large organization with many divisions and people. At the corporate center I am exposed to all levels of employees, clients and visitors. Challenges are not the same and everyday is deemed as a new experience and an opportunity to interact with these people. In my line of work I am there to provide a service that ensures the well being , security and safety of all within the environment I am in control off and when that it achieved it gives me a feeling of satisfaction.
Pros: Opportunity for growth and experiencing other environments
Cons: External impact of the environment that I have little or no control of and how it affects my organisation.

Excellent learning curve
I would like to explore and learn new things. I would like to expand my knowledge and skills which I can not do at transnet engineering, there is no daily challenges they take their time to issue job card ofwhich I don't like waiting for.

To be the part of the big company like transnet its great becuase I have expirense to work with people from defferent of culctures and religious. Its nice to share ideas with people who have been in company for long as we come with new ideas from the training center. We were forming a good and the winning team at all time. We plan for every task we do as we work we turn to know the individuals strengths and weakness we will try to balance the equation so that all of us we be in the same wave lenght.

Excellent learning opportunities offered and on the job training while studying
*completing modules with practical theory * Machining on milling machine and manufacturing on the centre lathe * on the job training (learning programming on Cnc machine Fanuc) * Going for short courses I.e welding , first aid and fire fighting * house keeping everyday * working with others while we learn jig and fixtures

Good communication, able to learn
I'm faster leaner, good communication able to work as team , I commit my self,work under pressure and overtime if required or authorized by manager. Other skill levels have boiler maker (chieta) currently I'm about to complete my course of welding and fabrication inspection at SAIW for any queries feel free to confirm from my intuition sdutent number is 19/0414 thank

I learnt how to manage and run continuous improvement projects, data analysis, process mapping
Iam Khongelani makhuvele, hard working person, who is willing to work under pressure and to provide for the company through the use of my hands and my intellectual skills, I have team building skills, I understand working with different of different characters. I'm willing to develope my skills further,I started my career at transnet port terminal as an industrial engineer trainee, The skills knowledge I have are as follows, cadaver analysis, running continuous improvement projects and process mapping During the course of training I enjoyed relating theory into practical situations The challenge that I experienced it was communication during the project, my team members had fear when it comes to commutation.
