Excellent Learning
Typical day will mostly begin with attending a teleconference meeting where previous day performance are discussed and whatever issues were there. i have a good relationship with my colleagues, its not perfect but it is good there is huge respect among each other which i value. i have learnt so much about railway operations as it was a completely new environment for me. i enjoy the people i work with and the management that always inspire us to grow and the ample opportunities we are given to study and further our development individually. its a huge company and sometimes one may be overwhelmed with things to do.
Pros: great opportunity for promotion
Cons: there is always that possibility of moving from one are to another

I DO BOTH MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL TASKS
IIT WAS THE GOOD TO WORK AT TRANSNET AS APPRENTICE. I LIKE WORKING IN THE THE MAINTAINACE TEAM BECAUSE I LEARN NEW THING ALL TIME . I AM WILLING TO JOIN YOUR TEAM. I WILL APPRECIATE THAT IF GIVEN THIS OPPORTUNITY TO PROVE MY SELF.

Library and Information management
I have a good understanding of management, IT and the day-to-day running of a library. I have been involved in the field of Information and Library Management since 1994, exposed to operations in various forms of business from medium to large corporate organizations including non-governmental organizations and government entities. My experience is supplemented by formal education from known and highly accredited academic institutions in the country. The in-house training has improved and broadens my skills within the field of Information and Knowledge Management. My highest qualifications are BPHIL (hon.) in Knowledge Management with Stellenbosch University and BBibl. with University of Fort Hare. I am an affiliate to Library and Information Association of South Africa. I am currently working in Knowledge Management Department tasked to implement Library solutions.

Working closely with my colleagues
Ability to meet deadlines. Able to work under extreme pressure. Good communication skills. My vast experience on my day to day work gives me extensive exposure and being able to excel. I am a person who 1st deals with all urgent issues before doing other work. I find it very important to communicate with my line manager in all aspects of work. With the good working relationship I have with my line manager I am also able to understand the importancy of the Department and Company as a whole. It is also my duty to be able to handle all sorts of work as and when my Manger is busy or not present in the office.
Pros: Able to intervene when need be.
Cons: Able to deal with a lot of pressure.

Very good company that gives lots of opportunities like personal growth within the organisation.
Need to grow and get more experience and knowledge in the cooperate world. And learn about other business cultures. Company that gives lots of opportunity like bursaries and employs graduate in training. Lots of diversity awareness since its a big company. Transparent from management level to be aware what employees are working towards on.

Good learning curve
Thrown in a deep in end and have to survive on your own. It is great for learning quickly and applying yourself into various situations early in ones career. I have learned a great deal about project management and integrated all 10 knowledge areas of project management. The co-workers are dependable. I enjoyed working in a diverse environment as it presented an opportunity to learn about different cultures and integrating with different departments which helped me to learn and grow quicker than i expected. Some processes are out of date and can hold the company back with respect to timelines of completing some of the simplest tasks. The most challenging aspect was the approval processes in order to move forward with your work tasks.

Great experience
To work at Transnet its a great experience because I learn to communicate with a lot of people during my shift eg :manager, supervisors, machine drivers and department of planning by communicate with all them my job runs smooth and I meet target very easily, challenges that I face is to have breakdown with the machines that I'm running with because i can't meet my target
