I have learnt that communication is the most important key in project management. I am involved in project management and also the engineering side of things where my department support the wheels business on a technical level.

Good salary
Transnet pays well and has good job security. It is a unique working environment in operations and there is always something new or exciting to see. Working in an operational grade can become monotonous however and opportunities for promotion or job change is not easily available.

Cons: Long hours and shift work including public holidays

I am currently studyng at varsity college,i am doing Financial Accounting
I view myself as a self-disciplined person, spiritual and having ability to demonstrate a good team and I can perform duties required and exceed my expectation, I am an individual person who is willing to learn. Wish to build on and take on available training studies, would appreciate the opportunity of being party of your company. I have a good relationship with my co-workers, I am a people person I get along well with people, I enjoy working with people. I have learn so much working in this organisation, I work with deferent suppliers I also have a good relationship with the suppliers, I have learned to be patient and be good at what I do at all time. Though work it can be stressful sometimes but I have a way of dealing with the busy schedule, I can say I love doing my job, and I excel at what I do all the time.
Pros: i believe i will grow in your company and learn new things within the organisation.
Cons: i dont have a problem working long hours as long as my work is done and finished at the end of the day

Business networking is what is shapes my career. I enjoy hearing what HR challenges other sectors of businesses face, and how they overcome them. I have learnt and now have a new view of the Human Resources partner's role. The most challenging aspect of my role, is the process of training needs analysis and drawing up of the training plans.
Pros: As the HR Business Partner, I am aligned for the HR manager opportunity.

I am a young woman who is motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic and have good Communication skills, Secretary Skills, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Computer skills, credit controlling skills and administrative skills. I can able to express myself in both in English and IsiZulu and have a good customer care service, and I have 2 years’ of experience working in the administrative environment at Transnet in Durban . I am also a hard worker, reliable and honest and able to work under pressure.

Working hard
Working in Transnet I have experience a lot of challenge when its came to finish my job I have to repeat the measurement of my work to make sure its accurate,but I always make it right on time .Working with my Co-workerd was great experience most helping each other and we had good communition if something went wrong we solve it by ourselves.Most thing I enjoy about my work I just operate the machine and finish the job by itself and I just measure is it on right size and I was happy all the time if I was asked to finish my 300 bush in a day I managed because in must Tarret lathe manage to do 5 bush in 4mins of my time. I have learnt I must never give up no matter how hard is the work has to be done by the day.

Good place to passby in my journey
Interesting at times but it has become routine now as I am aware of all that I need to do and when. An ordinary day at the office maybe be boring then suddenly become exciting due to the varied requests that come from management. That just gets one from being bored to really excited in a wham.

Goal oriented
I'm currently responsible for maintenance of11kV /6.6kV substations and transmission lines, And 3kV DC traction substations. I also worked worked on SAP sytem for budgeting and buying of maintenance material. I also acted as a production manager, so this gives me confidence that I can be the best candidate for this position.
Pros: Great exposure to heavy current engineering
Cons: forever in meetings than doing actual work.

They make sure they train you proper and make you have qualifications to do the job
Best company. They make sure when you live the company you are better person . They give you proper training as employees and give employees chance to bring ideas so company can grow bigger

Learning curve
Working for Transnet started very well, exceptional in fact, came in as a Receptionist, worked very well within 24 months I was promoted to Senior Secretary and this was due to my hard work attitude always willing to go extra mile, able to assist anyone and everyone who came to my work station, I really took the role of being the face of the company seriously. But as years went by I feel dejected not motivated at all, hence I'm looking for new challenge and new environment. however things have changed , a lot over the years at transnet

Cons: No prospect for growth, promotion
