I was a supervisor as Truworths for 8years.Use to manage more than 30 staff members .I love working with people give them training on how things need to be done and share my ideas.I would live to join you company and learn more about it

Excellent learning curve

On stuff performance, shrinkage, sales,merchandising,promotions,stock control,coaching,Admin,how manage controlable and non controlable costs, IR and Labour Relation also hiring stuff

The impact of online shopping in retail stores

The store used to be busy everyday irrespective of the dates in the month. I find that nowadays customers have their favorite days of travelling to shop in retail store as well as just shopping online. During busy days those that have the means prefer not to be physically in stores but you will just see them popping in and out just to look for an item and once they find it they will rush back out and claim that they will rather order it online. I have a very friendly relationship with everyone because i talk to everyone, I smile a lot and I like making everyone feel on top of their game, just by giving compliments or just by agreeing to disagree. I enjoy interacting with customers and finding more about their preferences even though sometimes there is minimal time for that in the store. My worst challenges are people who focus on the emotional aspects of their jobs rather than focus on tackling the situational aspects, people need to be more resilient in the workplace. Thank you

Learnership

my relationship with co-workers , we call each other buddies, were by we cover and stand by each other, we work together always and I have learn that working with people its need you to understand and be friendly to everyone. customer service is very important always make customer happy .

I have learn a lot and I know better.

I am a very quick learner and a know that I can do it , I have worked under a very serious pressure and I've learned souch that I even decided to take what I have learned to the next level. My job description was to serve customers , most of the time I will be Merchandising, doing banking,conducting meetings , controlling stock from the stock room to the floor or even to receive it and also to be in charge of the store when the manager is off.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn even more
Cons: Shortages off hours when it's busy

Customer service

I enjoy doing customer service aloot becsuse it feels good when you help other people and at the end everyone feels happy. I have learn't that you must treat other people with respect and also learn't how to supervise a shop. I have a good working relationship with my co-workers

Excellent learning experience

The most exciting thing about working for this company is to be able to interact with people and giving back to others,I enjoy working with my team at this company they are amazing people and they are great team to work with and i am thankfull to be part of such team, I have learnt alot from this company by being able to interact with customers ,communicate more and being versatile and going the extra mile in every work that i do,The most challenging thing about the job is working under pressure specially on busy days because you have to be more vigilent at the sales floor and keep focus in everything that is happening around the store.

To be an employee of truworths it's nice because i worked with a good manager who has undetstanding and like to push you to the next level and we had a good team with trust and respect
