The company I'm currently working for has reached me alot of work experience as well as working with staff... it's a honour being at Truworths but I'm seeking for any other permanent position closeby

Great learning experience
Retail is a very broad and interesting industry, where you get to put customers first before your own concerns. This require a person with a long heart and who is able to deal with difficult customer. And able to deliver the best customer service for the sake of the company performance. So in this area I have learnt to take business as business and able to differentiate personal issue and business.

Good learning curve
It gets very busy i have to operate a till and have a department in the store assigned to me. I have to make sure that my section is up to standard everyday.

Communication skills
Learn to communicate with people ...advice and give them best attention and attitude plus smile Having a good team work Learning from one another Doing everyday daily routine Making schedules of the week what time do you get in and when do you take a day off at work Always be presentable and have a name tag so that customers can know or recommend you as an store assistant

Truworths is company that is always willing to grow their employers in all ways possible.
I work at a Truworths that is in a mall. The working hours are from 8 to 7, mainly there is shifts. 8 to 5 and 10 to 7. My relationship with the workers is quite a good and fruitful one, there is a different age group when it comes to the staff and one learns alot from the different departments as well. The company promotes different ways to empower and grow their staff as initiatives such as Ace it helps workers to work hard and later get rewarded. What I have learnt is that is the work ethics of a company and how important that they are applied in the correct way it brings discipline. The challenges however is dealing with difficult customers in different days and applying the rule that the customer is always right, which technically that is not always the case, but better yet serving customers with your best abilities and serving right to the company.
Pros: Manuals are given to employers to enable themselves to learn more about higher levels in the company such as getting promoted.
Cons: Long hours working 8am to 7pm. And no weekend offs

Good growth platform and learning experience
I am a person who values honesty and integrity. I am loud and ever smiling person. I love working with people who are open to learn n try new things coz i love experimenting with new ideas.i work well with people in groups and lead very well.

Being used by truworths because am poor
Working at truworths is very hard because we work very hard and earn little.you find that it's month end it's very busy and we are short stuffed I find my self working at till and monitoring the fitting rooms.me and my colleagues we have a very good relationship,we treat each other like sisters,this is what I love most about us.i have learned to be strong and have patience with my work especially when they cut hour,this is the most pain full scenario at work because we earn little but I never thought about resigning.i enjoy a busy day at work because i always want the store to reach it's targets and turnovers.the challenges at work was when they announced about cutting leave hours decreasing them from 40 to 30 that day I found my self demoralized.
Pros: Having sale will make a busy day and that will able us to reach target,cash collection and turnovers
Cons: Working short hours, earning little and decreasing leave hours.

Great learning curve
Working at truworths has taught me the importance of teamwork. It has taught me how to be patient and I learned new things that I didn't know about myself which is always having a smile and providing a great customer service. Helping people to match their clothes has been really amazing.

A learning experience
It's a company that makes sure that it's staff are trained at all the times. It keeps on following up on staff trainings to make sure that staff offers a best customer service to customers. It believes in customer first.

Cons: Doing 3 people's work and still expected to deliver a good service

Great learning experience
I wored with a wonderful and hard working team, we were like family, doing our best to see the best and for the store to be the best. I have learned quit alot be it merchandise to banking to packing and being consistent. I enjoy engaging and assisting the customers, meeting different people everyday and getting to know them and help them with their style and of course learning from them.
