Working for woolworths made me understand the importance of customer. Dealing with them on daily basis I build relationships . By doing that I make a different in the company increase our sales adding value. I always reach monthly target and weekly. Being in customer service department I make sure that I deliver the best I could. Sourcing with my client it where I bring the business to company.

Its a very nice environment because u meet different people with different character and u learn to collaborate and have patients with people and change the way of communicating and its keeps the smile there the whole day

Setting work standards and good communication skills

Woolworths company is a very good company to work for. Just like any other company there are now and then issues arising between staff members. So one of my duties was to resolve those. Otherwise in all the years I worked there. I've gained so much experience in communication skills and also build good relationships amongst staff. I just feel it's time to move on and discover different adventure in life.

Pros: Good benefits and flexible hours of work. Management also very supportive.
Cons: Staff members not coming to work.

Interacting with customers.

Interacting with customers and laughing about what they did that day. Knowing I have a great team working with me motivated me a lot. Getting support from my manager whenever I needed her.

Leaning curve

Have to get up early for my shift ,once I get at work I have a game plan with my team and to see how everyone is doing ,if they are unable to make it to work they’ll message me .i have learned to delegate tasks and make sure I follow up on them and help where I can .i enjoyed working with my team and helping develop there careers.the most challenging part was being overruled at every turn by management even when there judgement was bad .another challenging aspect was not being able to enjoy any off days as the store struggled and kept phoning for me to come in

Design plan and implementation of new projects

Woolworths is a great company to work for with strong values . We live our values in everything we do. Integrity is an important trait and we do everything possible to satisfy our customers. At Woolworths perfect is not good enough and I have gained a wealth of experience during my 14 years at Woolworths. And held 3 senior IT positions during this time.
