The adhoc activities are aa excellent learning curve.
Checkers in general is a great company. The staff at my branch are great and a very good team to work with. I work more than 10 hours daily for more than 5 days without any overtime for the excess hours but still enjoy my responsibilities and love my job. My co-workers are really what keeps me going even when at times things are tough, they are a team to die for including those even not under my direct supervision. I have learnt to inco-oporate all the four leadership styles in order to deal with the different situation arising on a daily basis and dealing with different human behaviour charecters. Every new day is a challenge as the resposibility change all the time; delegating some responsibilities but still being accountable. The most challenge is personal time and planning as there is no set schedule, one never know when are you on duty over the weekends and the long hours without any recognition. I still love what I do and am good at it.

It's a challenging job that helps me grow everyday
I work with different department counting their stocks within the company and that is an excellent opportunity I have of learning of how these departments operate on a daily basis in terms of their operational requirements and expenses and their returns.
Pros: I'm exposed to management duties daily and that is an excellent opportunity to learn something daily

Excellect communication skills
I have good communication with staff, able to solve problems working at checkers give me opportunity to learn how to keep a customer happy always,on how to deal with any angry customer, how to keep calm any angry customer, how to solve a problem for the customer most of all I've learned that you have to always makes sure that you always give more, What I enjoy the most working with people because I'm one person who is friendly always smile and always help where I have to. When it's come to challenges it's when you have to deal with the issues, like when any employee will complain about her/his salary that is when u have to come in and out to solve the problem

I learned many things in the campany which I am proud of myself today.
First I like to thanks for the campany of giving me the opportunity and trust on me. The experience that I have gained in the past 10 years has make grow as person and as an employee. To the management and staff thought me many things like how to work as team. Even if sometimes is difficult we use to work together as team and solve the problem. In the 10 years I gained a lot of experience and knowledge again how to handle difficulties and challenges and take it simple, what I learned the most is how to handle costumer and what is costumer service. To work under pressure to me is like nothing to me because I life and love my job the most
Pros: In that ten years I started working as a till packer for two weeks, then cashier, front end controller and cash office clerk it makes me proud of myself and achieved because of my hard work.
Cons: To me working long hours it doesn't give problem because of I enjoy my work.

Respect, loyalty and care
