I Enjoyed everything at Edcon, Shifts was ok with me and enjoyed working with everyone. Hours was never a problem for me. the company use to spoil us with gifts on our birthdays.

I am at Edcon in Human Resource Department.

I am at Edcon in Human Resource Department. My duties are but not limited to: • Creation of adverts on Soft scape • Advertising internally and externally • Shortlisting of candidates and inviting them to interview • Compiling interview guides • Arranging and conducting interview • Make offers to accepted candidates • Compiling new starter packs documents for new employees • Preparing of Appointment Authorisation Forms, Letter of Appointments and Flexible Remuneration • Calculation of benefit Salaries and Total Packages • Uploading employees on my Focus System to grant them employee numbers • Conducting Reference check through MIE and Telephone • Preparing tracker for missing documents on new starters • Capturing of SDL accounts( under banking) • Updating spread sheet tracker for terminations, maternity leaves etc. • Capturing of new employee on my focus for Document Collection Campaign • Confirmation of employment • Contract for Location allowances

Excellent learning curve

I was working in a bank which was a different environment to from retail. I have learnt to put myself in a customers shoes and understand their frustrations. Always have a smile on my face. We do get irritated with each other as co-workers but I think am the only one who get up there and still work on my best of ability. I enjoy interacting with every genre of people and making them feel as VVIP.

Hardworking, long hours gain experience and knowledge promote merchandise.sell stock meets target store turnover stock take to count merchandise.working long shift and over time .

The company is constantly undergoing restructuring, which creates uncertainty in the work place.

I have in excess of 10 years experience in retail from store manager level, regional Admin Manager and Regional Ops Manager. I would be an asset to any company. I check all admin, do training, investigations, coaching of staff. I also check standards in stores, layouts and customer service levels.

Optimisation training

I have working with my colligeu for past many years and i never have any issue aspecially during stock take and changing of the department layout also ,have a training between different department ,most challange comes from customers

Good in communication ngo skills

it was difficult sometimes but have to push my self on doing my job because dealing with Customers you must always know that always customer is right no matter what in are words was dedicated person love each others always share to any1 even the people were working with them where good people shame will alwys Mic them I have learned a lot to respect others give love to each other share when someone doesn't have or in need of something if have I enjoyed each and everything more especially overtime because the more work the more where getting pay

Still willing to grow

I have completed my second year subjects at the Vaal University of Technology, majoring in Internal Auditing, financial accounting. Commercial law, cost and management accounting and have worked in the sales and marketing industry for Four years. I want this occupation and I wish I can learn as much as possible while making a real positive contribution and growing muself My academic and social experiences have greatly increased both my knowledge and passion for Internal Auditing and I am very serious about my career in Auditing. I am eager to further my skills through the challenging world of employment. It has come to my attention that your company has an excellent reputation for its innovation expertise and its commitment to developing people

Great growth potential

Work with a great team who assist with growth development. Often get training courses to improve ourselves and further ourselves within our roles.Great sense of family ethic within department and relationship with co workers is great. Very lenient with work times and accomadating of family emergencies

Cons: Have only received 1 salary increase since I joined 3 years ago

Customer service

I spend my time assisting customers, merchandising along with co-workers. I learnt good customer satisfaction and handling customer complaints. I enjoy cooperating with co-workers and closing sales. Most challenging aspects are interacting with difficult customers and exceeding the amount of money targeted daily.
