Pros: I'm currently working for Eskom Hendrina Power Station which is based in Mpumalanga province as Assistant Officer Procurement. I have joined Eskom on the 16th of March 2012 and have learned a lot about the management of contracts, negotiations with suppliers, supplier database handling, and sourcing of goods services.
Cons: Work starting time which is 07h00 is not good for me because I'm staying 200 KMs away from work

Excellent learning curve

I plan my own job for the day, I work with good people , we work as a team Daily I get to be expose to new technology in measurement I enjoy being able to develop my skills The most challenging thing is the level of growth is low

Work culture with an impact
_ engineering based company with alot ofdifferent engineering problems to solve _ the company allows me to work with different people in the company and the company business partners _ my work and my role is my department is clearly defined A typical work day is exciting, i get to assist different power stations to solve their engineering problems _ most of my coworkers are my customers i have a great relationship with them. Now and then we have a difference of opnion and conflict managment and compromise sometimes is the answer
Pros: The company has a lot of potential and its an engineering baised Company
Cons: They is no room for growth and the perfomance of the employees within the company belongs to the public and the individual perfomance and management.

Good Solid Experience for a Large company
As a team player I’m always willing to share my technical computer skills, as well as assist in resolving any computer related applications. This ability to think independently before seeking help has developed and increased my problem solving capabilities or skills. I am a self motivated individual who prefares to work smart to reach organisational goals and objectives.
Pros: Great company for exposure to large data reports.
Cons: I work unpaid overtime at times

Excellent learning curve and able to travh
Able to read all workshop measuring instruments. Can do supervision, as well as leadership. . Able to work overtime including holidays . Ability to interpret Engineering drawings a do Sketches. Good in time keeping management as well as self supervision.

I manage a programme comprising complex technical projects on a power plant.
• I earned respect from my colleagues because of being knowledgeable in my area of responsibility • I enjoy working in a dynamic environment • Managing projects in a power station comes with huge challenges especially during this time of power crisis • My relationship with co-workers is cordial because I play the ball not the man • I have learnt that no matter how educated and good you are, sometimes you will need a team to succeed
