I've leant a lot, installing meters, planting poles, fault finding
It's nice working here as the only female amongst guys, we get along so well I even climb 14m poles with them with no fear, the only challenge I've got is being away from home and not seeing your kid and prepare him for school, only see him on weekends only and the other thing being an Artisan that is earning less than 10000 a month
Pros: It will be great to get an Electrician job

Excellent learning curve
I had a great time at Eskom learning all about our power supply and distribution.. There is nothing negative i can point out from Eskom, it is a great company to work for, full of opportunities.. I would recommend Eskom to anyone who wants to empower themselves through knowledge..

Being a leader
attending safety meetings it is a very friendly institute maintaining the plant doing alignment and pneumetics and hydraulics working under cold temparatures

My experience and gains in industry
Currently i am unemployed and looking for an opportunity to explore my career however working in eskom was a wonderful opportunity i learnt a lot especially how to treat colleagues with respect and to be a great team player. The only challenge i was facing was that i had to learn a lot of work at limited time throughout that process I realized one great skill which is to cope under pressure n time management

Learning is vital
My review on eskom is that learning to cope under pressure is the most vital thing and multi tasking is important. Being innovative make one unique which is important. Listening skill plays key role in group work. Chemistry is my passion

Excellent learning curve
It is a very professional and highly organized company and there is room for growth and development. Employees are continually hard working and great leadership as well. Working independently has been career defining and reporting to line managers has given me good written and verbal communication skills
